How to force close WhatsApp

When we do not want an application to work in the background, we can force the closure of the app , this can be done with WhatsApp , Facebook and any other type of app that bothers us to continue working while we do not see it visibly when we use the phone.

The reasons that would lead us to this decision would be, for example, because we notice a high battery consumption despite the fact that we have a rather reduced use of the mobile. It is well known, for example, the problem that Facebook has, which uses a lot of battery.

We could also force the closure of any app if we see that it does not work correctly, it freezes and does nothing or for any other incident that prevents its operation from being what you expect. As a last resort, you would have to restart the smartphone or uninstall it permanently if the problems are not solved.

In any case, we are going to show you what steps you must follow to force the closure of WhatsApp:

  • Close WhatsApp by entering the task view, where it shows which apps are running in the background, you do this with the virtual button on the right, just the one next to the start and back buttons.
  • Now that we have WhatsApp closed, we have to go to settings / applications / all applications and search for WhatsApp (the route may vary depending on the phone model you have).
  • Once inside, you just have to click on the “force stop” option to close the app forcibly and stop it running in the background until you open it again. If a message appears stating that there might be a malfunction, accept it.

If you have an iPhone, you should know that in this operating system there is no way to force the closure of WhatsApp and other apps as in Android, instead the only thing you can do is remove the possibility of updating in the background , but nothing else.
