As you surely already know, GTA San Andreas is a paid game: this means that to be able to download it and play it on one of the platforms I mentioned in the previous lines, you must first purchase it. Its cost varies according to the platform on which you want to install it.
- PC (Rockstar Games Launcher)– 14.99 euros.
- PC (Steam)– 9.99 euros.
- PlayStation 3/4– 14.99 euros.
- Xbox 360 / Xbox One– 14.99 euros.
- Android– 7.99 euros.
- iOS / iPadOS– 7.99 euros.
On some occasions, however, you may be able to get a discounted or even free copy of GTA San Andreas, thanks to temporary promotions. For example, Rockstar Games gave a copy of GTA San Andreas to everyone who downloaded the new Rockstar Games Launcher , the video game management platform of this development company.
My advice is also to keep an eye on the Epic Games platform on PC, which offered GTA V (the most recent installment of the GTA series) for free for a limited time. If you want to download GTA San Andreas on PC , you can proceed via the Rockstar Games Launcher client or via Steam . To find out more, all you have to do is keep reading the chapters that will follow.
Rockstar Games Launcher
To download GTA San Andreas from the Rockstar Games Launcher , you must first create a free Social Club account . To do this, you can act directly from the launcher but, for convenience, you can perform this procedure directly from the official website . You can find all the information about it in this guide of mine .
When you have created a Social Club account, you can download the Rockstar Games Launcher . Therefore, reach the appropriate section of the Rockstar Games website via this link and press the Download button for Windows that you find in the center of the page, to download the client installation file.
After downloading the .exe file , double-click on it and press the Yes button in the screen that is shown to you. Next, choose the language ( Italian ) and press the Continue button four consecutive times, in order to complete the client installation.
Now, start the Rockstar Games Launcher , via its icon on the desktop or in the Start menu , and press the Yes button , in the warning on the screen. Wait for the download of the necessary files to complete, to then reach the login screen, where you will have to enter the data of your Social Club account.
Once logged in, you can purchase and download GTA San Andreas. Then reach the Shop section , which you find at the top, click on All titles and select the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas option .
Once this is done, press the Buy button , enter your billing information and select one of the payment methods in your possession, among those listed ( credit card , PayPal or PaySafe Card ). Finally, put a check mark on the box below and press the Confirm purchase button .
Well: now that you have purchased GTA San Andreas, go to the Games tab at the top and click on the entry for the game you have just purchased, in the side menu (in the My Collection section ). Then press the Install button and confirm the destination path via the Install button , to start the automatic download and installation of GTA San Andreas.

Want to buy GTA San Andreas on Steam , Valve’s popular digital game distribution platform? In this case, the procedure is as simple as the one I showed you in the previous chapter on the Rockstar Games Launcher. First, however, you need to create a free account on Steam via the official website of this store. If you encounter any difficulties, you can consult my guide dedicated to the subject.
Once you’ve created your free Steam account, it’s time to download the client to your PC. To do this, go to the official Steam website and press the Install Steam button , in order to download the program’s .exe file . Then double-click on it, and press Yes , in the on-screen warning.
Now, in the installation screen, press the Next button , choose Italian as the interface language and click first on Next and then on Install , to install the client. Once this is done, start Steam via its icon on the desktop or in the Start menu and log in with the previously created account by pressing the Login to existing account button .
After logging into the Steam client, go to the Store tab at the top and use the search bar (always at the top) to type in the terms “grand theft auto san andreas” , in order to reach the video game tab. How to download GTA San Andreas on smartphones and tablets
Do you want to download GTA San Andreas on your Android smartphone or tablet or on iPhone and iPad ? In this case, know that you can play this video game from the GTA series also on your mobile devices, by purchasing a copy directly from the reference virtual store of the operating system installed on the device.
If you have an Android smartphone or tablet , you must first create a Google account and associate it with the device. In this case, you can also perform this operation directly from the Play Store, through the appropriate screen that is shown to you at startup.

At this point, launch the Play Store and use the search bar at the top to search for the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas . After tapping on the corresponding search result, presses the button indicating the price , select the payment method from the box located at the bottom and confirm using the Buy button with a touch .
If you do not find the game, you can tap on this link from your device, to instantly locate it in the Play Store. Once the transaction is complete, if the download does not start, press the Install button , in the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas tab on the Play Store, and wait for all the files necessary to complete the installation of the app to be downloaded.
If you have an iPhone or an iPad , the procedure is almost similar to the one I indicated in the previous lines relating to Android. Therefore, make sure that you have associated an Apple ID with your Apple device.

Finally, open the App Store and search for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas via the Search tab at the bottom. You can also quickly reach the video game card directly via this link from your Apple device.
At this point, press the button indicating the price and, in the box that is shown to you, press the Buy button . Then confirm the download by pressing the side button twice and letting yourself be framed by the Face ID (if you have an iPhone with notch or an iPad Pro), with the Touch ID or with the Apple ID password .
In case the automatic app download does not start, go back to the video game tab and tap the Get button and then click Install .
