Sometimes we will want to download direct from Instagram (also called Instagram Live) to see them again in the future, since by default they are ephemeral, and at most they continue to appear to contacts for 24 hours together with the Stories.
In certain cases it will not be possible to recover a previous live show, but in many others it will be easy. For now, the Instagram recycle bin only allows you to recover deleted photos and videos, not including the direct ones.
How to have two Instagram accounts on your mobile

Download your own direct
The simplest case is when we want to download the live streams that we have made from our profile. We already explained how to view Instagram direct on a computer , but these steps should preferably be followed on a mobile:
This is what needs to be done:
- The simplest option is to click on “Download video” at the end of the live show , because as soon as we finish it, a menu gives us that option, in addition to uploading it to IGTV.
- It is also possible to download Instagram Live later, as long as we have not chosen “Discard multimedia content” when finished. It is not in the archive to see the old Instagram Stories , which would be the logical thing to do, but we must go to the IGTV section of our profile (TV icon):

Normally when we download the direct ones from Instagram they will appear in the mobile gallery , but if they do not come out we can always download a file manager like Google Files to help us locate it.
Direct download from other profiles
It is also easy to download the direct of other users as long as they keep them available in the IGTV tab so that their followers can see them again. If not, we would have to opt for the third system (the most complex), but many accounts do not eliminate them after issuance.
These are the steps to save them in the mobile storage:
- In this case we will use StoriesIG , a free service to download content from Instagram.
- We will introduce the name of the user whose directives interest us, without the at first, and we will touch the “View” button :
- In the profile that appears we go to the IGTV tab, the live streams that are still available will be there, otherwise we will no longer be able to download them:

The live will be stored on the smartphone , so we can see it in the gallery. If its duration is very long and our data rate has limits, we may want to connect to a WiFi network to avoid the gigs running out too quickly.
Record Instagram live streams
The last option is to record the mobile screen while we watch the live (or while we do it), something that has the disadvantage that it is not possible to do it after it is broadcast, but it will help us if we are concerned that the account will not keep it .
In addition, the great advantage is that the chat, reactions and user registration are preserved in join , as they appear on the screen. When you download an Instagram Live later, the video no longer maintains these interactive elements.
These are the necessary steps:
- We will need an app to record the mobile screen , this is a good free option to download:

- After installing it, it will ask us to accept the legal conditions, a short tutorial explains how it works and asks for permissions , especially the possibility of showing itself on other applications:
- We will click on the button that Mobizen locates in the right corner, and then on a camera icon to start recording:
- The operating system (in this case Android) asks us to confirm that we want to record the screen in a pop-up window:
- When the live has finished, we give it the square-shaped icon to stop the recording:
- A menu will allow us to watch the video at the moment, or we can close it if we want to record other screen content:
The direct ones that we obtain with this method will be found in the “Mobizen” folder of the internal storage , and they will appear in the gallery. They are saved on the phone itself, so you don’t have to download anything from Instagram.
In this way we cover all the possibilities to download direct from Instagram , which are not infallible due to the operation of the social network, but are successful in a considerable percentage of cases.
