If you often use the screen capture function , also known as the screenshot , you will know that Windows by default automatically saves the photos in the screenshot folder located inside the images . The good news is that you can easily change the save location of your screenshots without any problem, here’s how:

Whenever you take a screenshot using the  Windows key + the Print Screen key  , the new images are saved to  C: \ Users \ [Username] \ Pictures \ Screenshots by default.

To change the location where you save your screenshots, you simply need to follow the simple steps below:

  1. Select the  Start buttonand select File Explorer. Alternatively, you can type “browse file” in the Start menu search bar and select the best match.
  2. In File Explorer, go to  This PC> Pictures.
  3. Then right-click on the  Screenshotsand select  Properties  .
  4. In  the screenshot properties, select the Position tab  .

Here you can enter the path where you want your screenshots to go. Alternatively, you can click  Move  and select a location where you want to save the new images.

You will also likely be asked if you want to move your current screenshots to the new locations. Choose the one that suits you best and your settings will be saved.
