You too have understood the qualities of the game and, in fact, lately you have been giving vent to your creativity by creating various projects in your interior. Some of them, however, you have them in mind but you don’t know how to make them. For example, these days you are wondering how to build a temple in Minecraft and would like guidance in this regard. Don’t worry – you’ve come to the right place!

In this tutorial, I will examine the main possibilities offered by the game for the construction of this structure, among other things by making different designs and allowing you to choose the one that best suits your tastes and needs. What do you say then? Are you ready to get started? Yup? Come on then, below you will find all the information of the case. That said, there is nothing left for me to do, except wish you good reading and have fun!

Preliminary information

Before going into the details of the procedure on how to build a temple in Minecraft , I think it may interest you to know more about this possibility.

Well, there are not a few who want to create a structure of this type within the title of Mojang, generally to contextualize it within their own village. In this guide I will explain both how to make a Greek temple and how to make a Japanese temple , so that you have a certain choice.

The advice is to implement the procedures possibly in the Creative mode of Minecraft, so as to already have all the elements within the inventory available. Also, you should know that in this tutorial I will be using the Java version for the PC of the game to give you some practical examples, but in reality you shouldn’t have any problems making the structures in the Bedrock edition available instead on Windows 10, smartphones, tablets and consoles.

In fact, net of some possible variations in the names of the objects used, following the directions and perhaps using a little imagination I am sure that you will be able to reach your goal in a very short time.

In any case, just to give you some indications right now, which among other things can come in handy even if you intend to build the structures in Survival mode , I think it is interesting to quickly provide you with a list of the elements that I will use in this tutorial.

As for the greek temple , the materials used are sheets of quartz and steps of quartz . That’s all: you just need to find these elements, clearly in abundance , to avoid problems during the relative procedure.

As for the Japanese temple , on the other hand , I will exploit a larger number of elements. More specifically, you’ll need red terra cotta blocks , dark prismarine blocks , jungle steps , blue wool blocks , jungle fences , dark oak slabs , dark oak planks and lanterns .

In short, now you have all the necessary information, useful for the continuation of the tutorial. For the rest, in the final phase there will also be a way to deal with a mod that can simplify everything, so if you have the Java version for the PC of the game, you might be interested in taking a look at this solution as well.

How to make a temple in Minecraft

After showing you the general situation, I would say that it is time to take action and build the structure involved within Minecraft. To give you more choice, I will explain both how to create a Greek and a Japanese temple. I know: they may seem complex, but in reality I will try to simplify the operation as much as possible, showing you creations that don’t take too long to make.

How to build a Greek temple in Minecraft

Greek temple is always a fascinating structure to place within your Minecraft world. I will therefore start from this type of structure.

To proceed, place a 10 × 10 base of quartz slabs on the ground .

At this point, create, both in front and behind, 3 columns of quartz slabs 5 and a half blocks high , spaced one block from the other (leaving a “free” block to the right and left).

After that, place 2 quartz steps , facing up, in the top blocks of each column you created earlier.

Subsequently, he creates an “upper floor” made of quartz slabs, starting from a block “beyond” the various columns.

Then move to the sides of the structure and create, both on the right and on the left, 2 columns of quartz slabs , leaving two “free” blocks in the center and one on the sides. Then “join” the two columns at the top by means of quartz steps .

To conclude, all you have to do is create a roof , trying to create “steps” made of quartz slabs that join in the center. In this case personal tastes come into play, so I invite you to use your creativity to make the structure more pleasing to the eye.

End. Of course, what I have shown you is just a basic structure , which simply serves to quickly understand how to “set up” a Greek temple in Minecraft.

Now you have to unleash your imagination and choose how to enrich it. On the other hand, the title of Mojang is also very popular due to the almost infinite possibilities in terms of customization.

How to make a Japanese temple in Minecraft

If your goal is to make a Japanese temple in Minecraft , this is the part of the guide for you.

To start, place 4 red clay blocks on the ground, two in front and two in back, all spaced two blocks apart. Then, connect them to each other , at the top, by means of other red terracotta blocks , leaving the central blocks empty.

Therefore, create red terracotta columns 4 blocks high starting from the corners of the previously built structure.

At this point, connect the columns to each other at the top by means of blocks of red terracotta and “fill” the entire interior of the structure with a dark prismarine .

Next, move 4 blocks to the right of the structure and create another identical one , the same way you did the first one.

Then, connect the two structures by creating an “upper floor” of red terracotta , which goes “off” one block from the “buildings”.

So take some jungle steps and place them, facing up, just below the “upper floor” , surrounding the structure. You could also think of “covering” them, at the top, with terracotta blocks, in case the steps “come out”.

Now, place 4 red terra cotta blocks up , two in front and two in back, two blocks away from the edge of the structure. Starting from these, then create columns 3 blocks high and connect them between them.

Next, create a “second floor” in the same way , at the top, extending the structure by another 3 blocks.

At this point, “fill” the first floor at the top with blocks of blue wool .

Now “fill” the second floor with blocks of dark prismarine .

Once this is done, he surrounds the structure , in the “intermediate floor”, through the jungle fences .

Subsequently, it surrounds the structure, at the top, of dark oak slabs and creates a second “row” of the latter that “comes out” of a block on the sides.

Finally, make a classic roof overhead, made of “steps” made up of dark oak planks . You can indulge yourself a bit at this stage, creating the construction that is most pleasing to the eye according to your tastes.

At this point, the Japanese temple is almost completed. In fact, it simply lacks that extra touch capable of providing the right atmosphere. For this reason, I recommend that you place lanterns where you see fit.

Perfect, now you have your own Japanese temple inside Minecraft. Clearly, this is a basic structure that you can expand as you wish.

Mod to make a temple on Minecraft

How do you say? You don’t have a lot of time to build the structure and would like to have a temple inside Minecraft in no time? No problem, I’ll explain immediately what you can do!

In this case, you should know that there is a mod , called Spawn Temple , related to Java versions 1.12.2 or 1.10.2 of Minecraft, which allows you to do just that: quickly create a kind of temple. If you don’t have the correct version of the game available, you can refer to my tutorial on how to change Minecraft version .

I also remind you that, to install a mod within the Java edition for PC of the game, you must have the appropriate Forge profile , linked to the right version of Minecraft compatible with the mod. If you don’t know how to proceed, you can refer to my guide on how to install Forge .

If you have the latter available, you just have to connect to the CurseForge website , press the Download button , present in the box of the version of the mod you want to install. Then you have to move / copy the SpawnTemple- [version] .jar file obtained inside the folder linked to the contents created by the community.

On Windows , the latter is generally found following the path C:\Users\[nome utente]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods, while on macOS you have to reach the path ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods. As for Windows, you may need to turn on the display of hidden folders to succeed.

After that, once you start the game in Creative mode and select the right Forge profile from the Minecraft Launcher, you will immediately find a temple already built .

Perfect, now you can use the latter as a base to indulge yourself, or “settle” for the structure generated automatically by the mod.

For the rest, since you are a fan of the Mojang title, I would advise you to take a look at the page of my site related to Minecraft , since in the latter you could find many other tutorials that could be for you.
