Microsoft is testing a new feature in Windows 10 : we are talking about News and Interests that allows you to access, directly from the system tray, the latest news and the weather.
News and Interests
The new feature is available to all users using Windows 10 Build 21313 or a newer build of Microsoft’s latest operating system. To access the News and Interests feature, just click on the appropriate icon on the taskbar.
By clicking on the three dots corresponding to the different widgets it is possible to customize the information displayed and / or hide it if it is not of our interest.
The settings are provided by Microsoft News and managed by the new Microsoft Edge.
You can change your connected Microsoft account, language, and content. You can quickly access the privacy dashboard and the section to send tips and advice.
The Microsoft Tips app , included with Windows 10, offers a quick tour that guides you through the correct use of the new feature.
End users are of course free to activate or deactivate the new functionality. Just click with the right mouse button anywhere on the taskbar and select News and interests > Deactivate .
