How to activate Apple ProRAW on iPhone
The first thing you should do to activate Apple ProRAW on your iPhone 12 Pro is to check that you have iOS 14.3 or higher installed. Once you have verified this, you just have to follow these steps to activate the function on device.
- Open the Settings app and go to the Camera section.
- Tap on Formats.
- Activate the switch in the Apple ProRAW section.
This is all. With these three steps, the possibility of taking photos with the Apple ProRAW format will now be available in the Camera app and you will be able to decide in each photo whether you want to use it or not, as you will see in the next section.
It is important to mention that this format is available in both the rear and front cameras, although it is not compatible with portrait mode or Live Photos.

Once you have activated this format in the camera settings of your iPhone, you are ready to take photos and you can choose whether or not to use it in each photo you shoot, directly from the interface of the Camera app.
