However, “Fortnite: Battle Royale” is a little different from other representatives of this genre. This game includes the fundamental fundamentals of “Battle Royale”, diluted with new gameplay tricks, such as the construction of various fortifications right on the battlefield. Choose your landing site carefully and avoid other players.
Each battle in this game begins with the fact that a good hundred players are parachuted from a flying bus to an uninhabited island, generously littered with various guns and other goodies. Look at the map while you fly down, it is important to choose the correct landing point – choose the right one, consider that halfway to victory has already been passed.
Now your task is to find some kind of weighty trunk, and if you are a completely newbie, I highly recommend that you avoid any clashes with opponents during your searches. Most of the weapons in Fortnite: Battle Royale are in buildings, so I advise you to land where there are at least a couple of buildings, and if you are “skilled”, you can safely fall near large villages. The clothes in such locations are the most delicious, but be sure that no one is attracted by good loot, get ready to meet at least a few players. Stay away from seemingly full of loot, which is usually where cunning players are camping.
A little life hack: You can mark places on the map where there is supposed to be loot. This will help you not to get lost in huge locations.
The game starts with parachuting, but you can deploy your hang glider at any time by following the on-screen prompts. If you open it too early, then you will fly far and long, such a maneuver will allow you to avoid the congestion of rivals. The storm is the biggest danger in the game
Similar to PUBG, in Fortnite the map area is constantly narrowing, this time the location limiter is called “storm”. In each round, the storm will start from a random point and slowly but surely force the players to leave their shelters and start kneading. If you somehow find yourself outside the circle that is displayed on the map, then your health bar will begin to decrease until you die or return to the boundaries of the circle. There is a timer in the game interface showing the start of the next circle squeeze.
Never forget to check the location of the circle and the timer, and maybe then you will not die a stupid death. Do not run into the first small circle that comes across, as usually after the start of their movement you will find yourself outside it and will be killed, no, not by the enemy, but by the harsh and merciless script of the game. Always keep an eye on the location of the circle, and with the proper skill you shouldn’t have any problems with this part of the game.
Collect resources
The first weapon you get your hands on is a huge melee pickaxe, a very funny thing. You can of course learn to fight even with such a weapon, but I’m not sure if it will be effective on the battlefield. The pickaxe here performs the same function as in the minds of those who outplayed Minecraft at one time – it destroys everything in your path, opening up new tactical moves for you and allowing you to collect resources. Just do not break everything in a row, attentive players may suspect that something is wrong here and will begin to strenuously search for you.
To begin with, you need to collect 300 units of wood, and this can be done by breaking walls, wooden structures and other structures from which something can fall out. These 300 units of wood are a kind of starterpack for you, which will save your life, naturally, in the early stages of the game. In the game interface, you can find the “Buildings” item, which contains floors, roofs, walls and stairs. You will need few resources in order to build your own outposts right in the middle of the battle. The easiest way is to dig up resources for yourself at the beginning of the game, until the players have acquired small arms. The ramp will help you climb into previously inaccessible places and unexpectedly attack opponents. The building system is an important part of this game, and you shouldn’t miss it.
If you enjoy playing stealth mode, keep in mind that building fortifications creates noise and can attract nosy enemies. Visually, the buildings are very different from the style of buildings at the location. The stronger the material, the longer it takes to craft the reinforcement. In a situation where you are on the verge of death, it is better to use wood, since structures are made from it the fastest. But when arranging a permanent shelter, metal or brick should be used.

Opening and closing doors, you also create a lot of noise, which will flock to all opponents in the area. Shooting can be made dramatically quieter if you use a silenced weapon.
The extraction of resources with a pickaxe and other game tools makes a lot of noise. Resources are essential for successful survival, but stealth is essential early in the game.

Be careful in open areas

Players who come from PUBG to Fortnite: Battle Royale make the big mistake of running carelessly from one point to another in the open. Fortnite: Battle Royale’s distinctive graphic style makes camouflage impossible. You shouldn’t wander around the map aimlessly, set a clear route for yourself, don’t get lost – this is exactly what experienced players do.
Make sure that some reinforcement is covering your back. In open areas, it’s definitely not up to stealth, so move quickly, but don’t make much noise. There are two health scales in the game – the standard health indicators of the character and the remainder of the armor durability. First of all, armor suffers from attacks, after its demolition you will remain “naked” and it will not be a problem to kill you. The armor indicator after landing is at zero, so you will have to find it before engaging in combat.
Treasure chests are where you need to start your quest. Most often, buffs are in them, including armor. After picking up a blue potion (yes, armor in this game is replenished with potions), you will lose one slot in your inventory, so try to immediately use the find. Armor potions are of two types – large and small, they give you 50 and 25 defense points, respectively.
Armor won’t help you if you fall from a great height. There is one interesting item in the game – “Slurp Juice”, which restores 25 health units and the same amount of armor within 25 seconds. However, there is an item much more useful – “Chug Jugs”, which in just 15 seconds will restore you completely all vital signs.
Beware of other players’ buildings

The longer the round goes, the more new ones appear that do not fit into the style of the game, and just strange fortifications. It’s good that players don’t have time to think over the design of buildings, usually it’s a tower hollow from the inside, which is striking. I call such towers “indicators of the presence” of enemies. Seeing such masterpieces of design thought, I usually bypass them, but if I am lucky enough to pick up a rifle, I try to smoke all the enemies out of there.
If you do not have good small arms and you are not on a hill, then it is better to bypass these fortifications, you are better off. In addition to the fact that the tower informs us about the presence of nearby players, it also shows that inside there are clearly not frail noobs, but more or less experienced fighters with armor, guns and buffs. Want to take such a structure by storm? You are welcome, but first, find a powerful barrel that will give you an advantage over several opponents, preferably a minigun. By the way, the latter, along with the rocket launchers, will help smash the buildings of ill-wishers to pieces.
Use the environment, destroy the base of the building and destroy the stairs, then with a high probability the enemy outpost will fall, and you will receive good loot.
Shelter strength is deceiving

No cover in this game provides 100% protection against all types of attacks. Everything can be destroyed, broken and destroyed – and no, this applies not only to shelters that you can build yourself. By analogy with “Battlefield”, even buildings that are on the map by default are collapsing.
Do everything possible to avoid getting under enemy fire, otherwise no cover will save you. You will not be able to hide behind a wall from an enemy who is walking at you with a minigun or, even worse, a rocket launcher. Mobility is your ally, jump, run and build structures on the go, and then a slow-reacting enemy is unlikely to be able to kill you.

The adrenaline-fueled battles in Battle Royale are an integral part of this genre, and killing another player will bring you a sense of satisfaction. But do not leave your hideout every time you kill someone, not only have you shown yourself, but also the loot left after the killed player will attract your enemies who are not averse to profit from your expense. Be extremely careful after each victory over the enemy.
Do not take everything that is dropped from the loser, most often it is better to take weapons, equipment and materials for crafting shelters. The noise of the gunfire will naturally attract local scavengers who will try to take away your hard-earned prize. Be careful – this is the key to winning any round. Always expect someone experienced somewhere nearby to wait for the moment you make a fatal mistake. Supply drops are good, of course, but you are not the only one who knows that they have landed nearby. Dozens of players, like a swarm of locusts, will head towards them and a hellish batch will begin at the place of the fall, do you need it?
All of the above tips are an axiom for beginners
Most of these tips will help you survive on an unfriendly desert island. It is possible that at the beginning of the match you decide to climb into the central buildings with a pickaxe in your hands. You may even be able to get into the top ten survivors, but not a fact. Experiment, learn new skills, no one forbids you.
