Cyberpunk 2077 – Character Progression System Guide

In Cyberpunk 2077 , the character progression system is very detailed and deep. This could cause some confusion for all those players who are not used to playing RPG titles . This is the reason that prompted us to write a guide dedicated to the character progression system , useful for understanding how to level V’s statistics .

Experience and attributes

Cyberpunk 2077 differs from other role-playing games by the total absence of classes . It is true, at the beginning of the game you will be asked to choose your narrative background ( Nomad, Street Life or Corporate ) but it is not a choice that will affect the statistics of V. In other words CD Projekt RED has decided to give full freedom to the player, without necessarily binding him to a preset class. The whole system is based on the improvement of 5 main attributes: Body, Reflexes, Technical skills, Intelligence and Coldness ( here the complete detail). In order to enhance each attribute, however, you will need certain experience points, obtainable at each new level of V. Level that can be increased by completing missions or secondary activities, which will give you attribute points to enhance your alter-ego. In any case, our advice is to focus on two attributes as much as possible, so as to build a specialized build that is more suited to your style of play. Keep in mind, however, that each attribute has a level cap of 20 .

Skills and talents

The attributes concern only the first layer of the progression system created by CD Projekt RED. Each attribute is in fact divided into various skills. In particular:

  • Body: athletics, annihilation, street fighter;
  • Reflexes: guns, assault, blades;
  • Intelligence: hacking, quick hacking;
  • Technical skills: creation, engineering;
  • Coldness: stealth, coolness.

Unlocking these skills will not require ad hoc experience points. It all depends on your style of play and how well you are used to certain actions. However, keep in mind that the maximum level of each skill will correspond to the maximum level of each attribute . This means that if you are going to develop the “ quick hacking ” skill , you will have to use your attribute points to boost intelligence. In turn, each new skill level will give you access to a talent point with which to unlock active or passive perks that will further enhance V.

Street Cred

Next to the main progression system, described in the previous lines, Cyberpunk 2077 offers an additional experience system. We are talking about the Street Cred , a progression totally detached from the level of the character that will depend on the secondary activities completed. Although it does not directly affect V’s stats, Street Cred will allow you to access new content, unlocking, among other things, completely new grafts .

So this is the guide on the character progression system in Cyberpunk 2077 . Before concluding we remind you that on Uagna.it you will find the complete guide dedicated to the CD Projekt RED game .
