Guava tree planting method

From the seeds

  • If you want to plant by seed, it will take about 3 to 5 years for the fruit to grow from this plant.
  • To plant the seeds, first buy good quality seeds from the nursery shop. Soak the water for 3 to 5 days before planting the seeds. The seeds will germinate as a result.
  • Then sow seeds in small containers by taking fertilizers mixed with soil in a small container. Lightly sprinkle water to maintain moisture.
  • Now cover it with plastic sheets. Then place it in a place where there is enough sunlight. The guava seeds germinate at a temperature of 25 to 4 degrees Celsius.

After about 3-5 weeks the seedlings will be produced from seed. If the plants are mature enough, you need to move them to another large container. If you want, you can buy grafting plants directly from the nursery.

From the sapling tree

Thai guava trees are very attractive to look at. Its leaves and flowers are both lightly aromatic and attractive. The trees are up to 12 feet tall. So, the roots of the Thai guava tree require a much larger pot to grow and add at least a 12-inch container to provide enough space. Before planting, make enough drained soil in the container, select the pot that drains excess water easily. Plant a self-pollinating type of plant with a quality putting mix with compost, sand and soil mixed into your pot . Give the plants a little water later because this tree likes moisture. Place the pot in a sunny place. Keep it in a place so the sun gets at least six hours of light.

Irrigation water

Water needs to be watered regularly. The soil should be at least 2-5 inches wet. The flowers and fruits may fall prematurely due to lack of moisture in the soil. Climate It is planted in a humid and dry climate. It is the fruit available in both seasons. Temperatures of 25 degrees or higher are good for Thai guava.

Pruning

If desired, you can prune if you want to keep the angle around. This is basically pruning to give the tree a nice shape but will not affect the yield of the fruit.

Fertilizer

The plants need fertilizer once every month. And if you give organic fertilizer to the tree, you can get a good result. Regular compost can also yield good results. Collection: When the guava is green to light yellow, it has to be collected However, it is important not to over-feed the guava in the tree as the insects or birds can be eaten.

Yield

If properly cared for, an adult tree yields 3 to 5 kg in summer and 3 to 5 kg in autumn.
