Benefits of rice water soap

Have you heard of the benefits of rice water soap ?

Rice, rich in vitamins, is also widely used in cosmetics. Asian countries, more specifically Japan, which consumes and also produces rice in large quantities, use the grain water to treat the skin of the face, for its properties of removing impurities and for promoting detoxification, whitening and hydration of the skin .

The soap

The rice water soap is considered a skin spa, as it provides several benefits to it. It cleans and moisturizes because it has a huge amount of ferulic acid, presenting a high whitening potential, also serving as an excellent make-up remover to remove everyday makeup.

The rice water soap features in its composition:

Kojic acid

It is a depigmenting agent of natural origin that acts in different ways of inhibiting and reducing hyperpigmentation – which can also be induced by solar radiation – interfering in the melanin biosynthesis.

It is indicated for patients with intolerance or allergy to hydroquinone. Studies have shown that kojic acid can be used in combination with topical corticosteroids to reduce irritation. It does not cause allergy and it is also not cytotoxic.

Ferulic acid

It is a potent phenolic antioxidant found in high concentrations in plants, mainly in rice and corn bran.

It has a high photoprotective potential, acting as a cell membrane barrier, preventing the activity of free radicals and minimizing the effects of thymine dimers that are carcinogenic agents resulting from skin exposure to UV radiation.

In recent years, the photoprotective potential of ferulic acid has been widely studied. Scientific data show that topical application of ferulic acid inhibits the formation of erythema caused by exposure of the skin to ultraviolet B rays (UVB). In addition, the photoprotective action is accompanied by its antioxidant activity.

Benefits

-Calming effect: rice water provides a calming and refreshing effect to the skin, helping to reduce skin inflammation.

-Anti-aging: Due to the presence of vitamin B, it promotes cell growth, slows down the aging process and stimulates blood flow, improving circulation.

– Skin revitalization: closes pores, reduces expression lines and provides shine and firmness, which results in a young and radiant skin.

-Antioxidant: contains moisturizers and antioxidants essential for the health and hydration of the skin, preventing and reducing spots caused by age or excessive exposure to the sun.

-Photoprotection: its properties absorb ultraviolet rays, and can offer a light protection against the sun (but remember that protection does not replace the use of sunscreen properly ).

-Bleaching effect: it is able to bind naturally to the copper present in the skin, obtained by feeding. Thus, it prevents the formation of melanin, a substance that causes hyperpigmentation, a condition in which the skin undergoes a change in its color, through dark spots.

Recommendation

Wash your face daily. It can also be used as a make-up remover.
