Xiaomi Poco M3 with 6,000 mAh battery is approved by Anatel

Xiaomi promises that the 6,000 mAh battery of the Poco M3 can offer autonomy of up to five days, in addition to recharging other devices.

Anatel issued the homologation certificate for the Poco M3, an intermediate smartphone from the Xiaomi division that has a very prominent camera area, in addition to a generous 6,000 mAh battery. The exorbitant amount of energy can even be used to charge another device, with the help of reverse charging – by wire.

  • Xiaomi Poco F3 with 120 Hz screen will be global version of Redmi K40
  • Xiaomi MIUI 12 has already reached these Mi, Redmi and Poco phones

The Poco M3, a smartphone launched internationally at the end of last year , won the certification of approval by Anatel, so that it can be marketed officially in Brazil. The document, dated March 1, 2021, gives details of what to expect from the cell phone manufactured by Xiaomi and imported into Brazil with the help of DL – a company that has been representing the Asian brand in national territory.

Outside, the Poco M3 follows in the footsteps of Chinese intermediaries, without trying to reinvent the wheel. It has a 6.53-inch screen in Full HD + resolution, with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and that makes room for the front camera inside the drop-shaped notch. The rear uses plastic with a leather-like texture and inserts a black frame to highlight the camera, in an area much larger than that occupied by the sensors.

Altogether there are three cameras, the first with a capacity for images up to 48 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.79, while the other two work with two megapixels each and serve only to measure the distance in photos with blurred background, in addition to image in macro and both lenses use f / 2.4 aperture.

Even on a device that doesn’t cost that much, there is a stereo speaker system, the fingerprint reader is on one side and the Poco M3 follows the tradition of Chinese smartphones by placing an infrared port.

Controlling all of this, inside, the user receives a Snapdragon 662 with 4 GB of RAM and options between 64 GB and 128 GB – which can grow with the use of a microSD card, which does not prevent the use of a second SIM card. In addition to the internal space, the storage system is different, since for the simplest model Xiaomi chose UFS 2.1, while the more spacious version offers UFS 2.2.

If on the performance side the Poco M3 is not impressive, the autonomy goes in the opposite direction. The 6,000 mAh battery capacity promises, according to the manufacturer itself, five days of light use, or three days if its use is moderate, going up to a day and a half for people who abuse the device.

If you are one of the people with the lightest use and know that you will be able to spend several days away from the plug, know that the Poco M3 can serve as an external battery for another device. Unlike some competitors, this phone uses its own USB-C cable for this job, delivering 18 watts of power to the other gadget.

This is the same amount of energy that the smartphone receives from the MDY-11-EP charger, included in the box. In the package there is also a headset model MH410c and the manufacture of the whole set will be made in China, by Xiaomi’s own plant in Beijing.
