Windows 10 will hide an annoying section of File Explorer

Windows 10 introduced in Creators Update (1703) , back in the spring of 2017, Paint 3D , the successor to the successful drawing and quick photo editing program. Microsoft tried to relegate the old Paint to the background, but failed. However, they continue to give Paint 3D an important presence in the operating system, and one of its associated options will stop bothering us.

In the File Explorer, we have on the left a section for quick access to the main folders on the computer, such as Downloads, Documents, Videos, Music , etc. Among them we also find a folder called ” 3D Objects “, which you have probably never used in your life.

3D Objects is used to save there by default all the projects we do with Paint 3D, where we can create three-dimensional elements and figures from scratch, or convert a photo into 3D , among many other uses. However, if you don’t use Paint 3D, that folder always shows up in Recent Items, and the only way to remove it is to edit the Registry , so deleting the 3D Objects folder isn’t available to everyone.

That will change with Windows 10 21H2 , the update codenamed Sun Valley . The update will introduce changes to the Windows 10 interface, and File Explorer will also receive changes that simplify its interface so that it is neater. Thus, by default, the 3D Objects folder will be hidden. In the case of wanting it to be seen, we will have to right click on ” This computer ” and click on ” Show all folders “. We can also access by going to % userprofile% in the File Explorer bar, where all our user’s folders appear.

Bluetooth and clipboard improvements will also arrive

In addition to this improvement, Microsoft is also working on changes to the way Bluetooth pairings are made, where the notification will stay longer on the screen to prevent it from being lost. However, the notification is still accessible in the Action Center.

The Comments and diagnostics section, where users report problems and failures with the operating system to Microsoft, will now have the possibility of giving +1 to user comments, as well as reporting problems similar to those described. Thanks to this, Microsoft will more easily locate which are the major problems of its updates and alpha versions to correct the bugs as soon as possible.

Finally, Microsoft is also working on a new clipboard that syncs with the cloud, where we can save the last copied items, such as text, emojis, gifs, and much more.
