Fortnite update 16.20 has incorporated a new mechanic: the possibility that you can change the wheels of the cars in the game. This will change the characteristics of the vehicles, making them faster, stronger or more manageable. To do this, you will simply have to look for one of the garages that are distributed on the map.
To facilitate your search, we leave you a map below in which you can identify the location of all of them, which are always located next to a gas station. These, in principle, will appear with the door half closed, but you can sneak in crouching or breaking the blind.
How to change the wheels of a car in Fortnite
If you want to modify the characteristics of your car, you will need to find wheels, which are found in all the garages on the map. These are in the corner and function as a consumable item that is added to your inventory, so you will need to leave a gap.
To put them in the car, stand in front of it and throw it as if it were a grenade , but directing it at the wheels of the car. On impact, the wheels will automatically change.
This newly incorporated mechanic only includes one type of wheel, off-road vehicles , which will improve the handling of the car by making it easier to drive on terrain that, without them, would be very difficult.
This change of wheels is part of one of the new missions of the Fortnite battle pass , so even if you don’t generally use vehicles, you will have to try this new mechanic to complete the weekly challenges and get more experience.
