The trade war began by prohibiting Google from working with Huawei . Hence, the mobiles launched by the Chinese brand in recent months do not have Google Mobile Services, that is, they have Android AOSP (version distributed by Google with open source), but they do not have the license to use services such as Google Maps. , YouTube, Calendar, Google Assistant, Gmail, Google Photos, etc.
The commercial veto has been developing since its inception in May 2019, until today, where the American government has prohibited all American companies from collaborating with Huawei . That includes Intel, TSMC , Microsoft, ARM, SD Association , etc.
If any American brand wants to send electronic components, material, software, intellectual property, etc. To Huawei, you must issue a license (ask permission from the American Government), and until it is approved, the commercial exchange cannot be carried out. Spoiler: will not pass.
And despite everything, Huawei breaks sales records and continues to face this situation, although we must recognize that fear is latent and the possibility of failure could appear.
The light at the end of the tunnel appears from time to time, in fact, in the development of this situation, there have been several truces , and it may be that Huawei, due to its hegemony with 5G , may find a way out of the commercial veto.

So in view of all this, Huawei only has to continue with Android AOSP, invest in its customization layer called EMUI and promote and improve the Huawei Mobile Services.

We must be clear about one thing, Google fights every day to knock down these methods, and, furthermore, their installation is not a matter of clicking “Next” like the installations in Windows, but requires a lot of attention and some technical knowledge.
Huawei Mobile Services, what are they? What applications does it include?
In short, Huawei Mobile Services are a platform created by the Chinese company that allows to replace (not entirely) Google services. Through certain apps such as App Search , we can install all the applications we want on our Huawei mobile.

- Huawei Assistant: it is the intelligent assistant, although with EMUI 10.1 comes Celia .
- Huawei ID: when buying a Huawei mobile and starting it, we are asked to create an account in Huawei to identify the user, it is very similar to the Google account or Apple ID. In case of theft or loss, we are identified and can access it remotely.
- Themes: it is a proprietary app where we can change the wallpaper, the icons, the font, etc.
- News: through the browser and an app called SQUID, we can see relevant news, just like Google Discover shows.
- Music: a simple app that is used to search, listen and download songs, but it is not free, it costs € 9.99 per month and the truth is that it works very well.
- Mail: one of the applications included in Huawei Mobile Services is the Mail app. We can add our Gmail account, Outlook, corporate mail, etc.
There is something that is clear, Huawei will not have Google services, but despite that, it continues to make clear who is in charge in the sector and that in terms of power and cameras it has almost no rivals.
