Walkthrough Gris: Desert

Detailed walkthrough of the second level of the game: how to collect all the memories, pass tests, get gravity and much more

Desert Wind

Jump down to the right of the black tower that you climbed at the end of the game’s prologue. After a long slide down, Gris finds himself on solid ground in the middle of the desert.

Remembrance # 1

Walk left to find another memory behind a round hole. Walk through it to activate, then continue right.

Gris will find himself in a location with many windmills. If the weather vane begins to rotate, then know that a strong wind will blow soon. If the heroine is in the open when this happens, then she will be blown back a little. To move to the right, between gusts of wind, you need to manage to reach several shelters (destroyed buildings). You need to act quickly as you move from one cover to another.

Continue until you can reach some crumbling rocks and find a star. Collect it, then slide down the other side. You will reach a location with rocks floating in the air. You need to jump over them to get to the structure from above. There are two tiny circles on the right side of the second floating platform, indicating that a two-star bridge can be created here. We need to find the second one.

Luckily, a second star can be found on the right under the stairs. Grab it, then jump over the floating rocks. While in the first structure, wait for the wind to pass, then jump into the second and cross the formed bridge. There will be enough pause to get to the protective structure inside the oval shape before the wind blows.

Remembrance # 2

As soon as you enter the oval shaped stone, it will have legs and it will carry you to your next destination. It is very important here to quickly climb to the top of the rock during its movement, and then, as soon as you are on top, jump down the slope. This will allow you to collect another memory before the oval rock collides with the platform and blocks access to the slope (respectively – to the memory).

Exit the stone cliff, keep walking right and jump down. There is a third memory in the shelter below, but so far it cannot be accessed.

The force of gravity

Ahead you will find the first skill for Gris, which will help you get through the desert. When you get to the small tower, the two stars will disappear, but Gris will rise to them. A square will form around the girl, marking the receipt of the first skill – “Gravity”.

Memory # 3

After receiving this skill, return back to the memory on the left side. There is a cracked slab of several small stones above the hideout. Use gravity to jump into a cube and destroy rocks. Falling down will pick up a memory.

Gravity against the wind

Immediately behind this area, a strong wind will begin with gravity, which will not end. You could not have gone further without new strength. So, transform into a heavy cube and slowly move against the wind until you get to cover.

As soon as you find yourself in a new area with giant statues in the mountain, you will see a pop-up window that the task has been completed: ” Sandstorm – Avoid the storm .”

The Five Stages of Grief: Anger

In shelter from the wind, you can overcome the second stage of grief – anger. However, the memory must be collected first.

Remembrance # 4

The object of interest in this room is the giant bell in the center. However, first go into the passage to the right, and then jump onto the back of a stone creature that will take you across the abyss.

Continue down the street and up the platforms until you reach the topmost platform overlooking the memory on the left. Let the wind carry you to this memory. This will not affect the Sandstorm challenge if you completed it earlier.

Return to the giant bell in the hall. Below it is a cracked floor that can be shattered by gravity. You will need three attempts to do this, after which you will find yourself with the bell in another room. Shatter that floor too to get into an area of ​​black and white.

There are three statues here that can be destroyed using gravity. Please note that after three attempts (three hits with the cube on the floor) you will be thrown to another place, so you only need to hit with the cube next to the statues. You will notice which statues can be destroyed using gravity. When you see, then climb on them and use the cube from above to crush the object. If you managed to destroy all three statues, then you will receive a message about the completion of the ” Five Stages of Grief: Anger ” challenge . In addition, you will be transferred to another room. If you hit the floor at least once, you will not be able to pass the test.

Windmill cave

After exiting the volcano, continue to the left until you find yourself in a tower with many rails. In fact, this tower will turn out to be a giant mill.

Jump along the rails until you reach the top, and then climb onto one of the blades of the windmill on the left side. Wait until you climb high enough to jump over to the other side.

Continue left until you find yourself in a new cave. Before you go too far, look out for the rock formation in the cave. It can and should be destroyed by gravity (cube). There are a total of 14 statuettes, and you will receive a new quest – “Ink Suit”. You will find these small objects not only by their strange structure, but also by the vibration and sound they make as you pass by.

Destroy the first figurine and head left.

At the end of this lower passage you will find a second statuette .

Destroy it, then use the stone creature to help you climb to the next level, where you will find the third statuette .

There will be several white platforms here. On the second white platform, stand in the middle and use gravity to push part of the structure towards the base and activate the mechanism.

Also, look for a small crevice on the left where the fourth statuette can be found . Break it and notice another statuette above it, on the level above.

The uppermost platform is now in motion. Jump on it to form a bridge from the stars. Walk across the bridge and destroy the fifth statuette .

Continue left and get out. When you jump onto the farthest platform from the rails, you will notice that it staggers a little and tilts to the right. Apply gravity to make the platform fall and connect it to the stairs on the left. Climb the stairs and return to the top railing to pick up the third star .

Remembrance # 5

After picking up the star, jump back to the upper rails and this time use gravity to tilt the rails in the opposite direction, to the right. You can then jump onto the windmill on the left and use the spinning blades to get to the memory (necessarily through the roof of the mill).

Return to the cave. This time your stars will be able to form a bridge on the right, which will allow you to go to the right side of the cave. On the other side you will find the sixth statuette .

Walk forward to be outside again. Follow the rails and destroy the seventh statuette inside the small tower on the second level. Then use the stones to jump to the top of the tower. Break it with gravity and form a new stone bridge. Follow the smaller rocks to the first large floating platform to find the eighth figurine .

Remembrance # 6

While on the floating platform, before continuing to the left, jump off to the right to pick up the sixth memory. Then continue walking left.

When you get to the cave again, you will immediately find the ninth statuette . You will find yourself in another location with white platforms.

On the other side of these platforms is the tenth statuette . This time there are two white platforms at once, which you must simultaneously drown to activate the mechanism. To do this, stand on the black pole between the two central platforms, then activate gravity. The two platforms will lower at the same time.

Use the moving platforms to head to the right side. Stop and smash the eleventh statuette , then go outside and climb up the rails. You will notice a pulsing star behind the giant rock on the left. We need to get to her.

Walk left to find a moving stone creature with a cracked top. Jump on top of the creature and hit with gravity to destroy and free the spider. He will run out and go to the right, where he will find for himself a new home made of stone, which just blocked the path to the star. He will lift the stone to his long legs, and you can pick up the star.

Return to the cave and this time follow the left side. Go outside to see a large balloon that can be used to reach the star and memory.

First, crush the stone under the balloon, then climb to the top of the tower using the spiral staircase.

There is a small platform sticking out of the rock, which is moved by a ball. Use the force of gravity on this platform to lower the ball to the very bottom, behind the platform with the star . From here you can jump over and pick up the item.

Remembrance # 7

After picking up the star, use gravity to lower the ball to the very bottom. Then jump off it and run rather up the spiral staircase so that you can have time to jump onto the platform on top of the ball and climb onto the floating stones to the left.

Use gravity on the cracked rock to scatter several others through the air, then jump and get to the last memory of the chapter.

Now that you have two stars, return to the cave and jump onto the highest white platform. Your stars will fly away and form a new bridge. Jump on it and head left to find the twelfth statuette .

Continue outside and climb the rails. Stop and look into the small cave where the last two figurines are located – the thirteenth and fourteenth . If you managed to break all the previous ones, a pop-up window will appear with a message about the completion of the ” Ink Suit – Break Stone Piles ” test .

Run a giant staircase

Continue up and then right where you will find a giant windmill. In the center of it there is a white platform that must be lowered to activate. However, normal cube transformation is not enough to sink the platform to the ground.

Walk to the right and look for the rails around the mill. They can be used like stairs. Jump in, then move to the inner circle and jump up to the second staircase. Jump onto the inner circular staircase of the mill and climb until you reach an abyss. You might think that you can jump from here by turning into a cube, but this is still not enough. Jump over the gap and follow up the rails forming the stairs on the left side of the mill.

Finally, you will reach the top where you need to jump. Jump up and activate gravity to crash onto the platforms. This time, there will be enough momentum to sink the platforms to the very bottom and activate the mill. A way forward will be formed. Continue right and jump over the rubble until you reach a pair of stone hands. The challenge ” Green – the color is back ” ends here .

Jump off your hands to land on the green floor. Walk left and eventually you will find yourself in the central temple. This time a tree with green foliage will grow. When you pass it, then all the stars will be lost and move to the constellation from above. Keep walking left until you reach the top and fall from there into a new world.
