A type of oil for each skin

Natural oils have been used for thousands of years for medicinal and beautifying purposes. The vitamins that our skin needs are present in many of them and can help to nourish or disinfect it, depending on the type we use. But what properties does each one have and for which problems is it more advisable to use one or the other? From this list you can discover it.

Argan oil

Extracted from the fruits of the Argan tree (Arganisa spinosa), which grows in northern Morocco, Berber populations have already used it for skin care. Although it is also used in many hair and body products, the properties of this oil on the skin make it perfect for both dry and oily skin. Tocophenols are abundant in its composition, antioxidants that delay aging by preventing wrinkles. In addition, it is highly nutritious but not greasy, despite its appearance, so it does not generate comedones in the complexion and makes it suitable for acne skin. Its healing properties make it beneficial for this type of problem, since it can help eliminate stains left by the pimples. It is also suitable for calming skin rashes, reducing stretch marks and sunburn . An important tip is that you have to make sure that this oil is one hundred percent pure and that it is made up of at least 95 percent natural plant ingredients, according to the Ecocert standard.

Almonds oil

The oil extracted from the almonds has emollient properties that help to soften and hydrate the skin, in addition to calming topical irritations such as psoriasis and dermatitis. Thanks to the vitamin E it contains, it can help prevent wrinkles and stretch marks , especially when mixed with other oils such as musk oil. This oil, however, is mostly used for massage. Thanks to the softness of its texture, it is easy to slide on the skin and relieve muscle tension, calming anxiety and stress. Its nourishing properties make it very suitable for dry skin and chapped lips.

Coconut oil

The oil that is extracted from this tropical fruit is full of omegas that strengthen and hydrate the facial skin. In addition, cold-pressed pure coconut oil helps to remove makeup naturally and, thanks to its antibacterial and antifungal properties, serves as a facial cleanser for the most sensitive and reddened skin. Its antibacterial properties also make it ideal for acne-prone skin, as they fight acne- causing microbes and bacteria, in addition to reducing the size of the pores. It can be applied at night, both on the skin and around the eyes, to prevent wrinkles and expression lines; on the eyelashes, to strengthen and give them body; or as a lip balm. In addition, for men it has another use: it can be replaced by shaving cream: it will protect the skin and leave it soft and silky.

Marigold oil

Calendula oil has anti-inflammatory and softening properties and is often mixed with other base oils, such as almond oil, for use. It is very appropriate for eczema and irritations such as that caused by diapers in babies, as it helps to deflate tissues. It can also be applied on warts (favoring their disappearance), on acne skins (helps to prevent outbreaks), on sunburn and insect bites .

Hemp oil

This oil is cold extracted from hemp seeds and must be stored in dry, cool and light-free places, since high temperatures destroy its properties. The presence of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fights acne and reduces pores, improves psoriasis and eczema.

Jojoba oil

This liquid is extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant, a shrub that grows in the deserts of Arizona, California, and New Mexico. The American Indians already used this oil for hair and to protect the skin from the sun, because its antioxidant properties protect the skin from free radicals. This oil also improves sebum imbalances, making it especially suitable for treating acne. Likewise, its moisturizing properties make it highly recommended for dry skin and skin, improving cell regeneration, increasing the elasticity and smoothness of the skin.

Evening primrose oil

Evening primrose oil has been shown to be especially beneficial in treating female disorders such as menopausal symptoms and premestrual syndrome. In addition to its internal benefits, evening primrose oil used on the skin improves the appearance of acne, prevents skin aging and hydrates the skin. It is also very effective for psoriasis, dryness and eczema, as it helps reduce itchy skin.

Musk rose oil

This oil is extracted from the seeds of a wild shrub of the rose family (rose moschata or rose rubignosa), and is full of essential fatty acids such as omega-3, omega-6 and linoleic, in addition to antioxidants and vitamin A and E. Its popularity is mainly due to its regenerative properties, which promote skin healing, the appearance of stretch marks and skin blemishes. This oil also helps fight aging and improves pigmentation, tone and texture of the skin, making it an ideal ally for mature skin or pigmentation problems . The vitamin A it contains improves skin moisture and creates a waterproof barrier that prevents water loss and hydrates it.
