The Path to Overcoming Depression

Why is it so difficult and what is the path to overcoming Depression?

I am not a psychiatrist or a psychologist, but based on everything I have studied and my own experience, I would like to share a reflection with the aim of bringing a message of hope to those who are going through a difficult time.

The great difficulty in winning this battle is that you need a combination of two forces simultaneously.

The First Force…

The first of these is that you are able to put into practice some specific actions to correct, fix, and organize your life, making the causes that are generating depression cease. (Principle of Cause and Effect)

The big problem is that in this state you don’t have the ENERGY necessary to put into practice the actions that would get you out of this hole. Therefore, this strength alone is not enough and that’s where the second part comes in…

The Second Force…

The second strength is that you need to balance your body physiologically and chemically so that you have a certain amount of energy reserves to start the process. To achieve this balance, it is often necessary to use medication with the supervision of a psychiatrist.

(But remember, you need both forces at the same time. It’s not enough to just take the pills and think that they alone will change your life.)

The Main Barrier

But that’s where the crux of the whole issue comes in: people are ASHAMED to say they are depressed and seek help. So they end up never taking the first step, the condition remains, they have no prospect of improvement and gradually lose hope.

So, I hope this message helps you overcome this barrier and take the first step, which is being able to say: “I need help.”

And if you have someone close to you who is suffering from depression, reach out, because often this person will not be able to take the initiative to ask for help.

Share it with your friends and help bring a message of hope to someone who is going through this dark moment – which we will probably all go through sooner or later.
