In reality, tennis isn’t just aerobic.
It is right to ‘catch your breath’ but you must be aware that the exchange could last two seconds (serve and return) as well as two minutes (infinite dribble).

The translation of the English term Interval Training is expressed in Italian as ‘Interval Training’ and indicates a series of accelerations combined with an active recovery in the form of a light jog.

This alternation of active loading and unloading allows you to keep the heart rate (Heart Rate) always above the threshold and, this, allows you to train in the specific way for tennis.

For example, Interval Training comes in handy when you have just finished an infinite trade, you have the so-called ‘out of breath’ and in just 30 seconds you have to restore your heartbeat to start a new point.

This is a little bit the essence of Interval Training.

The aim is to bring the beats to the anaerobic threshold and lower them not too much (aerobic recovery) before a new acceleration using the ‘light jog’ method .

Only after having become familiar with Interval Training and training continuously for at least 3 times a week do I recommend increasing the training time and also the intensity of the same by bringing the loading phase to an equal or greater extent than the unloading phase. .
