No, it is not a sin to work on Sunday but it is important to reserve that day for rest and worship of God. Having a rest day during the week is very important and should be a priority. God instituted the day of rest for our good.
Rest is essential for a healthy and balanced life. God gave us the day of rest as a special blessing. On that day we can relax, renew our strength and focus a little more on God, without the distractions of work ( Hebrews 4: 9-10 ).
Rest is as important as work and is part of the 10 Commandments – Deuteronomy 5: 12-14 .

In the Old Testament, the official day of rest was the Sabbath. However, the first Christians began to meet on Sunday to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. Over time, the rest of Saturday ended up being transferred to Sunday. This was perhaps a way of making a difference between Christianity and Judaism, because many people thought that Christians were just a Jewish sect.
The specific day on which we celebrate God’s rest is not important ( Romans 14: 5-6 ). Today most churches celebrate on Sunday because it is the day when most people have time off. It is good to try to synchronize the rest day with the church day, because part of God’s rest is being able to have fellowship with other believers.

Can I work on Sunday?
You can work on Sunday but it is not the best solution. In some jobs you need to work on Sunday but if you can, keep Sunday to rest. If you can’t really take time off on Sunday, set up another day of the week to rest. If it turns out to be the same day every week, this is better for routine and health. It is not good to work seven days a week, without rest.
Remember: God created the Sabbath for man, not man for the Sabbath – Mark 2:27 . There are times when we have to sacrifice our rest to do other things; this is not a sin. But the day of rest exists for our physical and spiritual good.
