Biographical synthesis
He was born in Calabasas , California and now lives in Los Angeles . He grew up in the same city as the Incubus members and went to school with the Hoobastank members .
Trajectory
Rob started playing drums at the age of 10 after seeing an Aerosmith concert. Since his mother was the ex-girlfriend of Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer, Bourdon was able to be backstage and watch the entire production.
Rob also likes to play the piano when he has time. He used to take lessons when he was young and forced to continue.
Linkin park

In his early teenage years, Bourdon played in some bands with his friends. It was around this time that he met his current Linkin Park bandmate , Brad Delson , and they played together for a year in a group called Relative Degree.
Their goal was to play the Roxy Theater, after achieving their goal with a sell-out show, Relative Degree eventually disbanded. In 1995, Delson, Mike Shinoda, and Bourdon formed Xero which would become the starting point for Linkin Park.
