Main story

We guide you step by step through all the chapters of the game.

  • First day at work :Alex has convinced me. I’m joining him aboard the Talos I space station. The work we’re doing up there is too good to deny.
  • Escape :Someone I don’t know, named January, has contacted me to say that I am in danger and that I must escape from the apartment. There is something in his voice that worries me.
  • An office with a view :I’ve been aboard Talos 1 for a long time, unable to get out of some kind of repetitive test, but I can’t remember how I got here. January says I need to watch a video that will answer my questions.
  • A Mirror to Darkness: Alex deactivated the Mirror servers before he could finish watching my video. January believes that Dr. Lorenzo Calvino, the man who invented the technology, knows how to restore the video file. His workshop is in the Hardware section.
  • The Road to the Arboretum :The build design for my armed activation key is located in Archives. To get there, I will have to use the elevator to the Arboretum.
  • Arboretum :I have to make my way to Archives, a data processing facility accessible from the Arboretum, where I concealed a manufacturing design for my armed activation key. Once I have my key and Alex’s, I can destroy Talos 1.
  • Cabins :The build design for my armed activation key is in Arcivos. Danielle Sho ran that place and sealed the door with a biometric lock adjusted to her voice. I’ll have to find a way to get in.
  • Archives :Thanks to Danielle’s voice I can access Archives. I hid the manufacturing design of my armed activation key in a disk located somewhere in the central tank.
  • Loader :I had no choice but to jump into space to escape Archives. The locks leading inside are sealed, but Sarah Elazar, the head of security, has contacted me.
  • Life Support :I can’t destroy Talos 1 without Alex’s armed activation key, but I can’t get out of here. A restart of the station’s reactor will remove the blockage Alex put in place on the main elevator and locks.
  • Energy :Chief Systems Engineer Mikhaila Ilyushin is hiding in the Energy cooling control room.
  • Keys to the Kingdom :Alex said that if he went to his office he would hand over his armed activation key.
  • Discover Dahl’s Plan :Once I scanned the Coral for Alex, the data transfer was interrupted by Commander Walther Dahl, an “HR Consultant.” who works for the TranStar board of directors.
  • Incapacitate Dahl :Commander Dahl threatens to drown everyone in the Loading Dock. Maybe I could use the control regulators in Life Support to restore oxygen, but Dahl is most likely waiting for me.
  • The Fate of Talos 1 :The time has come to decide what to do with Talos 1. The last mission of the game and the outcome of Prey.

Tips for playing

Statistics

As you progress in the game, you will end up unlocking a Statistics section in your TranScribe . In this section you can check all the statistics of the game, including the amount of collectibles you collected of each type to see if you left something pending.

Different types of difficulty

The game has various difficulties in which you can complete the game. There is no achievement / trophy that requires you to complete the game on one difficulty or another, so the choice depends on each one.

The difference between one difficulty or another is the damage we do and the damage the enemy causes us. The rest of the game’s features such as objects, collectibles, enemies … is exactly the same in all of them.

Choice of character

As soon as the game starts, it will give you to choose if you want to play with a male or female character. This choice has no importance beyond the physical and the appearance of some objects or others in your apartment at the beginning of the game.

Perform sneak attacks

Throughout the game you will have to carry out a huge amount of battles against enemies of all kinds. If you have patience and especially if you want to survive in the highest difficulties make sure that you advance stealthily and hit the enemies when in close combat without being seen to cause enormous damage with just one hit.

Get your life back whenever you can

The game is full of medical kits , objects and foods of all kinds with which to recover your life. It is not necessary to wait until you have little life to recover because each object heals a certain amount of life and the game itself tells you how much it heals you so you will know which one to use. Look for kits in the most important points and food in cupboards, pantries and refrigerators.

This tip is very important to keep in mind because even on Normal difficulty the most basic enemies deal a huge amount of damage. You cannot imagine the problems that they will cause you in the highest difficulties.

Use the environment as a weapon

Throughout the game you will see objects that you can collect and throw against enemies, others that you can explode and also some turrets that work automatically when an enemy approaches.

These elements will help you to complete some areas of the game more easily, so it will always be advisable to take the enemies to a place that suits us.
