I consider myself a casual gamer, but in the last few months I have dedicated myself daily to the most popular shooters on the web, including Call of Duty: Warzone . Before reviewing this mouse from Patriot Memory , which certainly needs no introduction, we’ve had the opportunity over the years to test other gaming mice.
But with the arrival of the Viper V570 the music changes. It is a mouse with 13 buttons, including a special “Sniper” button (which we will talk about shortly) and a system of removable weights that help us balance it and adapt it perfectly to our style of play.
Price is certainly important, but well below the (let’s say) top-of-the-range models, which cost more than three times as much as this one. Among the pros is undoubtedly the comfort of the handle and its 12,000 DPI offered by a really well-made sensor, and the great customization capacity through the integrated software.
However, I advertise that it will not be easy to “get our hands on it” because it has its own pointing style, for which I recommend a large mouse pad for wide hand movements.

That this Viper V570 is a high-end device, you can already tell at a glance by looking at the build quality. Inside the box we find our mouse along with the various brochures, a small round box and also a Viper logo sticker, which is always nice to have.
Viper V570 is a right-handed wired gaming mouse , therefore not suitable for left-handers, immediately impressing with its extreme design . The grip is guaranteed by a slightly “rougher” coating on the top of the mouse.
But if you are thinking that it is a heavy mouse, you are wrong. I also believed it but holding it by the hands you realize that its 132 grams (approximately) are well balanced for use. Added to these is the possibility of adding up to a total weight of 34.2 grams more than the “empty” weight.
These weights are contained within a small box in the package (in which we find 7 in case we lose one), and allow us to distribute them evenly along the longitudinal direction of the mouse in order to adjust the weight according to our needs. and balance it more in the front or back depending on our style of play.

But let’s get down to the nitty-gritty: how does this Viper V570 fare in gaming? I write these considerations after more than 3 weeks of testing because, I must admit, this mouse must be understood. It takes its time to adjust to your (let’s call it that) ” aim system “ .
I will try to explain it to you with words: the classic cheap gaming mice (say around 30/40 euros) are “guided” with the front part of the mouse, with the fingertips. In short, to go more specifically, this is in my opinion a mouse for the palm grip , whereas I was used to a claw grip .
This is neither a criticism nor a demerit, it is simply the way it is used. Once you’ve got the hang of it , you have to tweak it to your style by working (who wants) in the software to manage the various sensitivities, distribute the weights, and customize the keys.
The sniper button is interesting because it can actually save you in some situations, especially in FPS when you want to counter the movement and recoil of a sniper rifle .

In short, in conclusion, the Viper V570 is actually a mid-high-end gaming mouse that brings with it endless possibilities for customization and adaptation to our style of play. In addition, the price is very interesting (50 euros) because, as we know, there are gaming mice that can even be close to 200 euros.
