Selection criteria
To be given the role of “affiliate” we have to follow a series of selection criteria that will allow us to become:

Become an affiliate

The criteria and requirements to be a Twitch partner are the following, as collected from the platform and as we can see through the creators panel:

- Stream content that conforms to community guidelines and complies with the “Terms of Service” and “DMCA Guidelines”

We must achieve a series of achievements that we will see how they are added from our creator panel as we accumulate hours and days of broadcast but keep in mind that we must complete them in a period of 30 days maximum.

Differences between partner and affiliate
There are differences when it comes to being a Twitch partner or a Twitch affiliate. Both allow us to receive Bits from our viewers but affiliates will not have personalized Cheermotes and partners will, for example. There are also differences in the subscriptions: the two can have subscribers but the partner has up to 60 unlockable emoticons and the affiliate only 5 unlockable emoticons. The payment conditions change only in the fees : in the case of affiliates we must take care of the fees and the partners do not, twitch takes over.
Not only at the level of profitability there are differences but also in the tools used that we have: partners have full access to transcoding options , transmissions for subscribers, storage of VoD up to 60 days or transmission delay up to fifteen minutes. For their part, affiliates do not have group streaming and VoD storage is only 14 days . Neither do affiliates have a “right” to the transmission delay.
There are other differences such as the ability to create a broadcast team, access or not to the self-service emoticon tool, customer support or the verified channel emblem that only partners and not affiliates receive.

- We open Twitch on the computer, in the browser
- We log in to our account if it is not already logged in
- We go to the profile icon in the upper right
- We select the option “Creator’s Control Panel”
- Click on the icon with three vertical lines
- We go to the Data section in the drop-down menu
- We open the ” Achievements ” section among the options that appear
On the right side of the screen we will see all the achievements that we have been achieving since the creation of our profile and what we are now.
