How to use Minecraft commands

To use a Minecraft command or cheat go into the game and press the / key to open the console. To activate the possibility of launching a command you must press the T key on the keyboard , as if you were starting the chat, and immediately after typing in the name of the command , always preceding it with the character /.

The first time you type the character /, you will be shown a box above the chat with all the commands you can enter, in alphabetical order.

For example if you want to use the command , (help) just type the following syntax:

/? [command]

Another example is the /tempo command :

/time {add|request|set} {value}

For teleportation, on the other hand, you have to use the /teleport or /tp command followed by some variables.

/teleport [subject] [target]

For subject you can indicate the name of your character or other operators:

  • @p refers to the player closest to who or what is executing the teleport command;
  • @r indicates a random player;
  • @a includes all players in the session;
  • @e refers to all players and non-player characters (NPCs);
  • @s indicates a specific player or NPC and needs the addition of select arguments, such as type to define the type of entity.

The destination variable , on the other hand, concerns the coordinates of the place you want to teleport to. Values must be numeric. You will need to declare the values of X, Y and Z. The first two represent the horizontal plane and are between -30000000 and 30000000 , the other the height is between -4096 and 4096 .

Below are the commands list of three versions of Minecraft: Bedrock , Education and Java .

Attention : remember that to use the Minecraft command list, when you create the world you will have to choose the Commands: Yes option.
