Biographical synthesis

Born the 29 of November of 1983 in the city of Bayamo in the province Granma , Cuba . She has a boy named Osmai Mateo Rodríguez. The disability is amputation below the knees, he was born with Norwegian feet and after several operations they did not achieve improvement. He carries out primary studies in the semi-urban town of Congri in Julia, at the “José Martí Pérez” school until the 6th grade.

Sports career

Leidy comes to the sport through the sports coach Ramón Martínez Martínez (Guaso), who performs technical tests of exercises with weights, having conditions for the practice of the sports modality of Lying down strength weights , beginning his preparation in the gym that It is located within the facilities of the Martires de Barbados Stadium in Bayamo.

Her first appearance as a competitor was at the municipal and provincial sports championships for people with physical-motor disabilities ( ACLIFIM ), raising her capacities and technical skills.
