Functioning

Rather than letting the browser have access to the entire network and trying to filter adult content, like most children’s Internet browsers or computer programs. You have to block access to it, and leave it limited.

System Requirements

A PC with Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP or Vista, and have Internet Explorer 5 or higher.

Install

  • Download the latest version of KidRocket and save it on your PC.
  • Double click on the green icon, the KidRocket rocket launch.

There will be no actual installation process, but Kidrocket will create a kr_files next to the.exe folder on first run. This is where your images and email preferences will be saved.

After you have to right click on the icon and choose KidRocket delete, do the same for the kr_files folder and that’s it.

Firewall and anti-virus software

KidRocket is a web browser and therefore your firewall permission will need to access the internet for the web browser to function at work.

The first time after launching the web browser, will you most likely receive a warning from your firewall or antivirus software?

You will have to answer “Yes” to allow or “Yes” that KidRocket.exe can be added to the trusted zone to access the Internet, so it will be able to retrieve and display web pages.

It is important that you unlock Kidrocket’s stay-first mode and web browser feature so that you can minimize the application.
