Why it is important to vaccinate BCG

It is extremely important to apply BCG vaccine to a new born child as this vaccine protects against the risk of TB in children. The full name of the BCG vaccine is Bacillus Calmette – Guérin. The risk of TB in children, especially at a young age, is significantly higher. But if BCG is vaccinated, then this danger is largely averted.

This vaccine is quite cheap and easily available. This vaccine does not have much side effects. Therefore, children should not be afraid to get BCG vaccine and children should get this vaccine.

A side effect of the BCG vaccine is that it is likely to stain where it is applied. The BCG vaccine should be given only on the advice of a good doctor. The BCG vaccine should be given as soon as possible after the birth of the child. This vaccine does not guarantee that children will not have TB when they grow up. This vaccine is more useful for prevention of TB in children only.
