How to check PEC Register of Companies
If you want to check the company PEC, you can contact the Company Register website , which uses the official data of the Chambers of Commerce and therefore includes not only the names and addresses of the companies, but also their official PEC (which must be registered with the latter). .
To start using the service, go to the official website and fill in the required fields to start the search. You must then enter the name of the company or business in the search bar you see at the top and, by clicking on the drop-down menu on the right, under the heading Province , select the latter. If you do not know exactly the location of the company, you can still leave the selector on the Whole Italy item .
After entering the data, click on the Search button , the system will carry out its search and you will then see a page with the list of all the companies that match the name entered. To verify the PEC address you must click on the one of your interest and go to the detailed page of the activity, which includes all the relevant information.
In the list of details, under the item Digital domicile / PEC , you will find the Show button , click on this to make the PEC address appear in a separate box. Compare it with the one in your possession to confirm the identity of the company from which you have possibly received communication.
If you have received an e-mail that appears to come from INPS and you want to be sure that it is a legitimate address, then I will show you the best way to proceed in this direction. To verify PEC INPS you can very simply use the portal of the National Institute of Social Security , in which the PEC addresses of all the offices and central offices of the institution are registered.
Therefore, go to the INPS contact page : since there is no internal search system, you will have to click on the links present to view the lists of registered PECs. For example, to check the PEC list of INPS offices, click on PEC list of offices , then on PEC addresses under the heading Lists and you will see the page of all regional PECs. For convenience you can reach this specific list by clicking on the link I just provided you.

How to know a person’s PEC
To verify the PEC of a person, first of all it is necessary to establish whether this is a professional or a private citizen. In the first case, in fact, it is possible to easily trace the holder of a PEC; in the second, however, as I already mentioned at the beginning, things get a little more difficult.
If you want to verify professional certified e-mails, you can use the INI PEC portal , which is a site sponsored by the Ministry for Economic Development that allows you to search for the certified e-mail addresses of professionals and companies, as well as to verify the latter by tracing back to their respective holders.
To trace the holder of a PEC address (and therefore verify its authenticity), connect to the main page of INI PEC and click on Search PEC address at the bottom left. On the next page, select the Professionals (or Businesses , depending on the type of address you want to verify) tab.
At this point, in the appropriate section, or where you find the written PEC address , type the PEC of which you want to find out the holder, check the item I am not a robot of the reCAPTCHA and then start the search by clicking on the Search PEC button
If the PEC address you entered is valid, you will see a page with all the data relating to its holder: tax code, professional category, Province of origin, registration number for the order and so on. If the address is not valid and is not present in the database, you will see an error message.
If the PEC address is not valid, if you know the name of the person or company to which it should be registered, you can try to retrieve the correct address using the other INI PEC search fields.
Then go back to the Professionals tab and fill in the fields relating to name and surname (in the case of professionals) or to the name (in the case of companies) to find the PEC address of your interest.
Moving on to the PEC verification of a private citizen , it is much more complex than verifying that of a company or a professional. This is because private citizens are not obliged to register their certified mail addresses and there are no public lists to find them. To be precise, a list of PEC addresses should be contained in the National Register of Resident Population , but will only concern those who have indicated a PEC address as their digital domicile and will only be accessible by public administrations, managers and operators of public services. .
To trace the holder of a private PEC address, therefore, you have to work a little and use the (few) means available, namely search engines and social networks . The first suggestion I would like to give you in this sense, however trivial it may seem, is to go to Google and search for the PEC address you want to verify the authenticity of in quotation marks (eg “name.surname @ pec.it “ ) : If the address is valid and has been posted on a blog, forum or any other web page, you should be able to trace it and thus verify its authenticity.
Another attempt you can make is to search for the PEC address on Facebook : in the case (quite remote) in which the holder of the PEC address had entered the latter in the public information, his name will automatically appear in the search results.
How to check PEC Agenzia Entrate
Do you want to check that you have correctly entered your PEC address on the Revenue Agency website , in order to receive notifications relating to deeds and notices? Then read carefully, I’ll help you carry out the procedure. Before continuing, however, I must remind you that to access the reserved area you will need the SPID .
Go to the official page of the Revenue Agency and click on the Reserved Area button (also recognizable thanks to the icon of an open padlock ). On the next page click on Log in to the new reserved area , then click on Log in with SPID .
You will see a drop-down menu, choose the SPID service in your possession (in this case I will use PosteID ) and, on the next page, enter your username and password by clicking on Enter with SPID . As for PosteID, you can also access more quickly, by framing the QR Code on the page with the PosteID app.
Once the identification with PosteID is complete, you will have logged into the reserved area and you will be able to see your name and surname in the upper right corner with the tax code . Now click on User profile and, on the next page (precisely at the bottom right), click on the item Manage PEC notification documents .
Click on Communicate and enter the PEC address in the appropriate box, then select the tick and the PEC address communicated is in the name of the applicant (if you carry out the procedure) or select the PEC address communicated is in the name of one of the subjects referred to in article 12, paragraph 3 if you are a spouse, relative or similar within the fourth degree. How to verify PEC PA
If you want to verify a PEC address relating to an office or a Public Administration body (e.g. Universities, Regions, Municipalities, Police Forces, etc.), you can do so through the IPA website (Index of Public Administrations) which, as it quite suggests easily the name, allows you to discover all the contact details of the Italian Public Administrations.
To check the validity of a PEC address with IPA, connected to the main page of the site, enter the PEC address and then click the Search button to view the results below.
If the search is successful, you can view all the information relating to the institution or office to which the certified email address you entered by clicking on the icons located next to its name (e.g. the icon of the two buildings for view all the references on the institution, such as the category to which it belongs, the headquarters and so on).
In case of a negative result, you can try to find the correct address of an institution by returning to the main page of IPA, by clicking on the item Ricerca Domicili Digitali Ente . On the next page fill in the fields to the geographical area or name , typing (or selecting) the search terms necessary to find the body or office of your interest.
