Set target in Monster Hunter Rise

If you are a veteran of the saga and you already know everything about Monster Hunter Rise: How to mount monsters easily and How to play cooperatively in Monster Hunter Rise with friends , you are surely familiar with the two ways of approaching your enemies in the saga.

Capcom

In Monster Hunter there are two types of approaches that remain in Rise, its latest installment for Nintendo Switch. The first is the focus camera , which is quite traditional in multi-enemy combat games. The second is the target camera, and is used to target the creature you wish to hunt on the map.

How to set target in Monster Hunter Rise

When the beast is on screen, depending on your settings, the camera will either lock on it automatically using the focus camera or lock it on the enemy by pressing the right stick inward . It is very useful to focus on the most dangerous monster and avoid its attacks while using your weapon and tie-down.

The other system requires you to know the beast and it is not marked with a question mark on the map. Once it appears, you just have to place the cursor on it and click the right stick to set it as a target. You use the target camera there to start tracking your prey without complicating yourself by tracking the creature manually. A great help especially if you are new to the saga and start with Monster Hunter Rise .
