More specifically, I suggest you use WordPress (the most used CMS in the world for creating blogs and websites) in conjunction with the WooCommerce plugin , which allows you to create and manage e-commerce suitable for any volume of business in a handful of clicks.
To create an e-commerce based on WordPress and WooCommerce, you can choose to independently purchase an online space, a domain and manually install the CMS and the plugin or, if you want to simplify things a lot and also get numerous additional services, you can contact all-in-one solutions, such as Aruba Managed WooCommerce Hosting .

Another solution that you can consider is Shopify , a service within everyone’s reach, already used by over 1,000,000 stores around the world, which allows you to create e-commerce with unlimited products, unlimited secure hosting, unlimited bandwidth free, a free domain name shopify.com (with the possibility to buy a custom one or use an existing one in its replacement) and everything you need to manage orders, products, customers, payments, shipments, inventory, marketing campaigns via social network, email or SMS.
It also allows you to use the Facebook sales channel to synchronize your products with a catalog on Facebook, create marketing activities on the famous social network and take advantage of the Instagram Shopping function on Instagram. You can try Shopify for free for an initial trial period (with no obligation to renew or need to enter payment information), after which the service offers various plans starting at $ 29 / month.
How to sell your products online on Shopify? Simple, all you have to do is connect to the official website of the service , type your email address in the appropriate field and click on the Start free trial button . Then you have to fill in the new form that is proposed to you with password and name to use for the shop, you have to press the Create your shop button and indicate if you have already started selling , what your current income is , in which sector you want to operate and if you are creating a store for a customer .
Enter the information in question, click on the Next button and fill in the additional form that is proposed to you with the address to receive payments . Then, click on the Enter the store button and you can start setting up your e-commerce site. Find all the tools you need in the menu located on the left.
The Home item allows you to view the Shopify main menu; Orders allows you to manage orders; Products to manage products and add new ones; Customers to manage the customer list; Analysis to visualize sales data; Marketing to set up marketing campaigns on social networks, via email or SMS; Discounts to integrate discount codes in the store; App to expand the functions of e-commerce with apps, while clicking on Online store you can customize the appearance of the pages.

How to sell online: used
Let’s now move on to see some more immediate solutions, ideal for the sale of used items (but not only) without the need for particular commitment.
Subito.it
The first classifieds site that I want to advise you to use is Subito.it , a historic Web portal that allows you to publish advertisements for free and thus sell the most varied types of products and services (it is in fact possible to use it to sell goods such as cars or real estate, but also to sell services and publish job offers). There is no commission in the sale but registration is required for its use.
Then connect to the Subito.it home page and click on the Register button , which you can see at the top right: enter all the required data, referring to the text fields present, you agree to the terms and conditions of the service, by affixing the check mark on the words present, and then press the Register button . You will receive an email within a few minutes to activate your account but, if you prefer, you can also register via Google or Facebook .
Now, from the main page of the site, press the Insert ad button , choose the category and any subcategory of your product, finally fill out the form that you see on the screen in its entirety. Insert photos that do justice to your product (maximum 6 free), a title that indicates exactly what it is, a captivating description, price and every other aspect.
Choose the maximum shipping distance, if any, and, if necessary, whether to rely on the TuttoSubito service . What is it about? Immediately, to facilitate distance selling, it has created this service to guarantee the buyer and buyer a transaction as safe and reliable as possible.
Once sold, Subito blocks the customer’s money in the account, arranges for you a shipment with a trusted courier and takes care of all the logistics . You only have to pack the goods well and go to the collection point (which could also be your home) and take care of the documents issued at collection. In case of loss, damage or destruction of the package, Subito will pay the agreed amount out of its own pocket . Be careful to keep proof of shipment well to avoid inappropriate disputes or scams.
When you’re done writing your ad, you’re ready to post it on the bulletin board. To publish the announcement, press Continue and wait for it to be approved by the Subito.it staff . Vinted
Do you want to sell clothes you’ve had in your wardrobe for a long time and don’t know what to do with them? Then it’s time to join Vinted ! This is a sales platform expressly dedicated to clothing, with a majority of used products but also new handcrafted creations.
Here, too , there are no costs or commissions for use and the goods can be exchanged by hand or shipped. Furthermore, bartering is included among the sales methods . You can then swap your unused jacket for a nice pair of vintage jeans if someone accepts, redoing the wardrobe without spending a dime. As for shipments, it is possible to choose between various couriers, including UPS , Poste Italiane , InPost and BRT at the expense of the buyer and a label provided by Vinted at the time of the order. It will then be up to you to take the package to a courier center.
That said, to use Vinted, connect to the main page of the site and press the Subscribe / Login button . At this point you can choose whether to use the Google , Facebook or Apple account or whether to complete the registration via email address. When you’re done, hit the Sell Now button to place your first ad, which is made up of a photo, title, description, category, brand, and tons of other details. If you also want to sell it by barter, tick the box next to the I want to exchange it box and choose whether to check your item by paying the amount displayed next to the box Put a boost on the item.
When you are done press the Upload button and wait for the Vinted team to check the validity of what you have entered. You will then have to wait for the deal to come true.

Facebook Marketplace
An alternative solution is to use the Facebook Marketplace tool , a feature included within the famous social network. To use this service dedicated to the sale of various types of objects, registration is required and you must also be of legal age.
To use Facebook Marketplace , then connect to the official Facebook website and log in to the social network or proceed with registration , following the instructions I have given you in my dedicated tutorials.
Once logged in, press the Marketplace item , located in the left sidebar, then press the button
- Create a new ad
which you can always see on the left. Now choose the category to which it belongs between article , vehicle and house , fill out the form for the publication of an ad, indicating all the information necessary for the sale such as type, category, condition, description etc., then add photos of the product.
The sale on Facebook Marketplace is managed privately: the interested user can contact you via private message to request more information. There are no commissions but not even guarantees on the transaction, with any shipments to be agreed between the parties involved and the need to pay great attention not to fall into some scam.
If you are in a hurry to sell your product or if you are a merchant, you can also decide to advertise the listing with prices that vary depending on the case. To do this, activate the switch next to the item Highlight the announcement and then follow the procedures indicated. Another interesting option is the possibility of publishing the same advertisement even in the groups you are subscribed to and which enable users to sell. To do this, once the announcement is complete, press the Next button and, from the next screen, put the check mark next to the desired group.

eBay
eBay is the very famous auction site where buyers compete with bids to win the product. That said it sounds like a wild place but, in truth, there is also the Buy Now formula to perform dry sales at a set price. Selling items is often free, but eBay takes a commission on every sale. More info here .
To post an ad on eBay , connect to its official website and first create an account. Then click on the Register button located at the top left, then fill out the form with all the required data ( Name , Surname , Email address and Password ), finally press the Subscribe button or, alternatively, use the association of a Google account , Facebook or Apple .
To start selling, click on the Sell button that you can see at the top, then on Start selling and, first of all, enter the category of the object describing it in the Tell us what you want to sell box . If available in the results, just click on the model in question to complete a large part of the ad in a second.
If you do not find it, click on the Continue button without any correspondence and complete the other information relating to the advertisement by entering, the title , the subtitle , verifying the category and indicating all the requested information, such as the conditions of the object , the specifications and all the details regarding the sale, including the format , duration and price of the same.
Regarding the format of the sale, click on the Online Auction drop-down menu to see the available options: the Online Auction is an auction with a set duration ( 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days ) that presents a price starting point , a buy it now price and a reserve price . Simply put, using this sales format, you will be auctioning an item with a starting price. This will be sold at the price offered at the end of the auction or upon reaching a minimum amount that you have indicated as a threshold; However, buyers can immediately buy the sold item, buying it at the buy it now price .
The Buy It Now sales format is a way to sell an item at a fixed price. In this case, it is necessary to indicate the price of the asset that you want to sell, but also possibly the possibility of receiving a purchase proposal . This means that buyers can offer the seller a lower economic offer than the set price that the seller can accept or reject. At the end of the compilation, presses the button Put for sale at the rates shown to publish the ad.

Other sites to sell online
Those I have told you about are just some of the most popular solutions for selling products and services online. If the web portals indicated by me have not been able to meet your needs, do not worry; I want to tell you about other valid solutions in the following lines.
- Etsy– is the portal dedicated to the sale of handmade products. This Internet site allows you to publish paid advertisements at low prices, after creating an account ( Register button from the home page). The ad serving fee is € 0.17, there is a transaction fee of 5% of the sale price which is also applied to shipping. In addition, there is an additional payment handling fee of 4% + € 0.30. - AutoScout24– is one of the most used websites for the sale of cars, motorcycles, campers and other used vehicles. To publish the announcement, you need to create a free account (click on the My AutoScout24 button from the home page and then on Register now ), after which you can use the publication form by clicking on the Insert button on the home page of the site. The publication of the announcement is free for the sale of cars, motorcycles and scooters, while it is paid for caravans or campers and for commercial vehicles. How to sell online on Amazon
In case you want to sell on the largest ecommerce in the world, then know that it is possible to sell on Amazon by opening a simple seller account. To do this you need to connect to this page , click on the Register button and follow the procedure that is shown to you.
For all those who want to do business above, a subscription is required which is basically free, but pays a commission for each item sold. It starts at € 0.99 (excluding VAT) for the basic plan and is perfect if you want to sell less than 40 items per month .
