How to save a web page to PDF with screenshot on iPhone

Sometimes we want to send an entire web page to someone from the iPhone , for whatever reason. The rudimentary way to do this is through multiple screenshots, but there is a better alternative: convert that web page into a PDF.

And no, you do not need a Mac or additional steps to achieve it: there is a very simple way to do it from the iPhone and in just a few seconds. Let’s see it step by step.

Capture screen, choose option and ready

Open the web page you want using Safari on the iPhone and capture the screen by pressing the volume up key and the phone lock key at the same time . A thumbnail of the capture will appear in the lower left area of the screen, touch it to bring up the capture editing menu:

You haven’t noticed, but iOS has detected that you have captured a web page. Therefore, you are offered the option ‘Full page’ that you can see in the upper screenshot, just above the screenshot. Touch it and the capture will ignore the Safari interface, but it will cover the entire web page that you have opened from its header to its footer (you can see it on the right side of the following image):

At this point, tap on ‘OK’ . A lower menu will appear with the option to save an exported PDF file of the capture of the entire web in a folder, within the ‘Files’ application:

Now you just have to select a folder (by default iOS will suggest iCloud Drive) in which to save the file. From there you can send it via AirDrop to any other Apple device, or send it via instant messaging or mail.

How to create, use, and manage templates in Pages for Mac

In fact, if you directly save the PDF to iCloud Drive, it will be available on all your devices as long as they are configured correctly with your Apple ID. Using this way of sending complete web pages is much cleaner than capturing it in several photos , or saving it together with a directory full of its attached files.

Remember that for this technique to work you must have your iOS updated to the most recent version, or at least to iOS 13.
