How to play with your friends in MLB The Show 21
First, make sure you have added your friend on whatever platform you want. It may seem obvious, but you won’t be able to play with your friends directly through MLB The Show 21 unless you’ve added them as a friend on PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.
Once it’s set up, press the Show button on Xbox or the trackpad button on PlayStation to open the quick menu. From here you can see that you have a few options. If you want to challenge your friend to play an exhibition game, go to Friends and then select your friend from the list that appears. There you can start a challenge to play an exhibition game.
Your friend can then access the same menu and access their game challenges to accept your invitation to play. And obviously if your friend is the one starting the challenge, you can go ahead and view and accept their challenge from that very menu.
If you are trying to play offline. Just go to the main menu with both controllers enabled, then go to Play Now and Show. From there, all connected controllers will be able to select their equipment and you are ready to play a traditional offline game.
