How to play the Division 3 [Basic tips]

1. Make it a habit to use the covers

Right on the first crossfire you are in, you will quickly notice that you should not neglect walls, boxes, doors or anything that can be used as a cover.

The enemies of The Division 2 have a habit of “letting go of the finger” on the trigger whenever they see you. Therefore, running away with an open chest thinking that you will be able to take them all down may not be (usually not) a good option.

While coverage is essential to avoid being shot down in the blink of an eye, the strategy does not work for all enemies. That’s because some opponents can also protect themselves behind an object or building just waiting for you to expose yourself to target it. At other times, they can flank you where you are hiding.

The tip here is: coverage is an aid, not an eternal solution. Avoid standing for too long in one place and change covers if you can. If you can’t move around a lot, keep an eye on your back because you might be sneaking around to catch you.

2. Invest in skills that match your character

In other words: avoid transforming your agent into a “flour” of skills, where he / she will never be really good / good at anything. The Division 2 offers the player a variety of skills which will be unlocked as they progress through the game. Choose these skills well at the beginning and, preferably, invest in something that will be useful to your style of gameplay.

For example, if you are one of those who prefer to play alone, it might be a good idea to have a Turret, which will select enemies and shoot automatically. The Drone is also a good option for going solo, as the equipment will map and attack enemies.

Now if you’re playing with friends it’s always a good idea to change it up a bit. Each member of the team may, for example, have skills that complement those of others. If you prefer, you can also play support using the Hive or the Chem Launcher. Both will restore your armor and that of your allies.

3. Did you level up? Return to the base of operations

Each time your character level up, you will receive an x number of SHD Tech, which is more or less the game’s “currency” – used to unlock skills and skills.

The point is that it will only be possible to invest these points of SHD Tech in the headquarters of its base of operations. So the tip is to take a quick trip to the White House as soon as you get the chance (and SHD Tech left, of course).

As you progress through the game, leveling up will gradually slow down. The good part of this is that you will be able to better choose which skill or perk you want and you will not need to make so many trips to headquarters.

4. Try different weapons, but build later

You will have the opportunity to try out various weapons, of different types, right at the beginning of the game. As much as you prefer a specific type, try others too to see if something surprises you. This will make it easier for you to choose your favorites later in the campaign.

That said, avoid spending resources to create weapons at the beginning of the game; they are likely to become obsolete very soon. For now, use the ones that are available and save materials for more powerful equipment that will be extremely useful from half to the end of the game.

5. Activate shelters and free control points

In addition to doing the main and side missions, take the time to explore The Division 2 map . There is a lot to see and investigate. In fact, there are specific places that you should be aware of, for example, safe houses.

Finding these locations will serve not only as points for quick travel, but also areas where you can get extra missions. Another area to keep an eye on is control areas. Free them from enemies to gain strategic advantages.
