How to Pay DigitalOcean VPS Bills with PayPa

DigitalOcean is one of the favorite hosting , server , and VPS service providers for many web developers and bloggers.

Androbuntu.com itself also uses servers from DigitalOcean.

In our experience using their services, everything went well and there were no major problems.

The price of the services offered is also relatively cheap when compared to other companies.

But sadly, DigitalOcean is an overseas company.

So that Androbuntu friends who want to use their VPS service cannot pay using the local bank transfer system.

Instead, you can use credit card payments as well as PayPal .

Well, this time I will give a tutorial on how to pay for a DigitalOcean VPS using PayPal.

How to Pay DigitalOcean VPS Bills with PayPal

Preparation:  Make sure your Androbuntu friend is logged into your DigitalOcean and paypal account in the same browser . Although it can actually be done on a cellphone, but for the sake of convenience I recommend following this tutorial on a PC or laptop.

If you want to follow this tutorial on an Android phone, I recommend using desktop mode to have the same look as I show below.

Immediately, follow the steps below to pay DigitalOcean bills using PayPal:

  1. On the DigitalOcean dashboard , click the ACCOUNTtab and then select the Billingmenu .
  2. Next scroll down until you find the Payment methodsmenu . Click the PayPal tab, then select the amount you want to pay ($5, $10, $25, $50, $100) then click the PayPalbutton .
  3. In the same browsertab , you will be directed to the PayPal payment menu. Please click Continueto proceed with the payment.
  4. After that, please select which source of funds you want, whether from a credit card or from a PayPal balance. Here I choose to use a PayPal balance, you are free to choose which one. Click the Pay Nowbutton .
  5. Wait a few seconds for PayPal to finish processing the payment. After the payment is complete, you will see a page like the one below.
  6. Done.

Very easy isn’t it?

Now the balance in your DigitalOcean account will increase according to the nominal you paid.

If you pay $5, then your balance will be $5 and so on. No cuts or anything like that.

DigitalOcean may take a while to display the balance we paid, but usually not too long. Just a few minutes.
