How to Move Start Menu in Windows 11

Unlike Windows 10, Windows 11 has the Start button and all apps in the bottom center taskbar by default.

If you want the Start menu to be in the lower left corner , you should move the Start button from the center to the lower left corner in Windows 11, and in this tutorial I will show you how to do it via two options.

  1. Option 1: Move the Windows 11 Start button to the left corner from the taskbar settings
  2. Option 2: Move the Windows 11 Start button to the left corner via Registry Editor

Option 1: Move the Windows 11 Start button to the left corner from the taskbar settings

Step 1  : Right-click the empty space on the taskbar, then open the Taskbar Settings.

Step 2 : After selecting Taskbar settings, go to Personalization option , scroll down to Taskbar Behavior in the right sidebar and click on it.

Step 3  : Click the drop down icon next to the taskbar alignment. After that, select Left to start moving the Windows 11 taskbar from center to left.

Step 4  : After aligning the taskbar to the left, close the Personalization > Taskbar screen.

Step 5 : After completing all these steps, the Windows 11 taskbar has been successfully moved to the bottom left.

Option 2: Move the Windows 11 Start button to the left corner via Registry Editor

Step 1  : Press Win + R simultaneously to bring up the Run dialog. Enter regedit, then click OK to run the command.

Step 2  : Follow the following Registry Editor screen command step by step:

“Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced”.

After that, double click TaskbarAl on screen.

Step 3  : In the pop-up dialog, enter “0” into the value data, and then click OK button.

Step 4  : After pressing OK, the Windows 11 taskbar will quickly move to the left. With consequent success of the operation as the Windows start button will also move.

Here’s how to move the Start button to the left corner in Windows 11 . If you prefer to keep the Start button in the lower left corner instead of the center but don’t know how, you can try it by following these simple steps.
