Preliminary information
Before going into the details of the procedure on how to make a heart in Minecraft , I think it may interest you to know more about this possibility.
First, in this tutorial I will focus on the procedure for creating a heart-shaped statue within the Mojang title (with the steps being the same to follow in all versions and on all gaming platforms). That said, a few simple elements are enough to make the heart-shaped statue. In fact, for the project I’m going to show you, I used black terra cotta blocks and red cinder blocks (red terra cotta doesn’t have exactly a vibrant color). I remind you that to create terracotta you just need to insert a block of clay and any fuel , such as Coal, into a furnace .
In case you were wondering, clay can be found during your raids around the world of Minecraft – just look for it underwater . The Coal should instead be tried in caves or at least close to rock formations . Once you find the Coal, just use the pickaxe to destroy the appropriate blocks and get your fuel .
To color the terracotta blocks , just use a workbench , placing the dye in the center and covering all other free slots with the terracotta blocks you created earlier. By doing so, you will have your blocks.
As for the black dye – which I will also use in this tutorial to outline the edges of the heart -, the latter can be obtained through the ink sac , which can be released as a drop from the squid .
For concrete , however, you have to combine 4 blocks of sand and 4 blocks of gravel , which you can find around the world, with any dye using a workbench .
A heart is usually red , so the advice is to create the appropriate dye, using a poppy or a red tulip . Both can be found around the Minecraft map. In this way, you will get the concrete dust, which must be solidified for example by wetting it with a bucket .
In short, the elements necessary to make the statue of the heart are not that difficult to find, so you might think of trying your hand at this construction even in Survival mode . Alternatively, I remind you that in Creative mode you already have all the elements of the case available in the inventory.
How to build a heart in Minecraft
After showing you all the materials needed for the construction, I would say that it is time to take action and make the heart-shaped statue in Minecraft.
To start, take the black terracotta blocks and place one at the bottom and two on the sides, going up one block. Then destroy any “support” blocks you have created.
Continue, therefore, diagonally for another 2 blocks upwards . Of course, always destroy the “support” blocks.
At this point, place 4 black terracotta blocks on both the right and left, starting with the first block to the right and left of the structure you built earlier.
After that, place 2 blocks at the top , one on the right and one on the left, moving towards the center of the structure.
Next, go up one block and place 2 blocks inward on both the right and left. Once this is done, place a central block down one block. Perfect, you have now created the heart shape.
Now, all you have to do is fill the interior with red cinder blocks and that’s it. Perfect, you have successfully created a heart-shaped statue !
How to make hearts of various colors in Minecraft

- White: bone powder (workbench).
- Green: cactus (furnace).
- Yellow: sunflower (workbench).
- Blue: must be excavated from a rough block.
