The widgets are great and we love that they are part of the new version of iOS. Especially because they can be customized and adapted based on our needs.
There is one that stands out and it is the Photos app . As you know, if you have tried it, what it does is show a kind of collection of featured photos . It’s great to see some photos that we have in the library and remind ourselves, especially when we see photos that we had not seen for a long time and we loved.
But those photos are not chosen randomly. It is Siri’s intelligence that chooses photos based on day, location, and time of year. For example, what you were doing a year ago; the photos you took on that same date a year ago.
This feature is fine. Of course, obviously, if you have a photo that you don’t want to see again, the algorithm can’t tell if you don’t tell it. Therefore, if you see that it shows you in the photos widget a photograph that you do not want to see to remember, you can remove it. How? Follow these steps:
- As soon as the photo appears that you don’t want to be seen in the photos widget, clickon it
- Clicking will open the photo within the app
- Go to Featured Photos> For You
- Click Share
- Now click on Remove from Featured Photos
That easy! Simply, when you see a photo that you do not want to be shown there, you do this procedure. In addition, the algorithm may identify your practices and no longer put some photos that you may not want to see.
