How to hide a Chat on WhatsApp
The only way to hide a chat on WhatsApp is to archive it. This way it will be moved (without being deleted) to the app archive. As you can see, you don’t need external apps or services, being an official WhatsApp function.
You can archive both individual and group chats.
How to archive a chat
- On the CHAT screen, touch and hold the chat you want to hide.
- Tap the ARCHIVE item
How to archive all chats
- On the CHAT tab, tap More options> Settings.
- Tap Chats> Chat history> Archive all chats.
At this point you will ask yourself how to access the section with the archived chats: well it is above the word LISTE BROADCAST / NUOVO GROUP, exactly at the top of the first chat in the list. At this point, all you have to do is do a sort of swipe-up to make the archive appear – as if by magic.
Next to the word ARCHIVE you will find a number that refers to the number of chats you have decided to archive.

- Swipe up on the CHAT screen.
- Tap Archive.
