In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the popular leveling system in Prestigi is back , albeit with some important changes compared to the past.
Already before the game’s launch, which took place last November 13 on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One and PC, Treyarch and Raven had talked about this new system , which represents a hybrid between the experiences of the classic Prestigi rank. of previous games in the series, and the Seasons progression system, which will return after debuting on Modern Warfare last year.
The first real effect of this new system will be seen in a few days, more precisely from 10 December, the day in which Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will start, but in the meantime many of you, who have already played with constancy and dedication to Activision’s new shooter, have already had to deal with some particular rewards deriving from this new progression system: the Prestige Keys.
But what are the Prestige Keys for?
A question that many of you ask and ask us, and so we are here to explain in detail how to obtain them and especially how to use them – even if, for the moment, there is not much to say on this particular topic, and shortly you will understand why.
How to get Prestige Keys
Once you reach Level 55 on multiplayer (or even thanks to the Zombies mode, as the progression has been unified, and Warzone will soon come to help too), the player gets a Prestige Key and automatically unlocks access to Level 1 of Prestige 1, without this leading to the loss of accessories and equipment previously obtained – this is an important change compared to the past.
The player can now continue to play safely, and, in these first weeks after launch, can accumulate two more Prestige Keys. The first is awarded upon reaching Level 50, following which you also pass to the Prestige 2 phase; the second arrives instead at reaching Level 100, with entry into Prestige 3.
With the arrival of Season 1 and future seasonal events, it will also be possible to unlock more Prestige Keys. At the moment, however, as we have specified, each player can unlock a maximum of 3 keys, reaching level 100 of the Prestige.
What are Prestige Keys for?
Once you have obtained a Prestige Key , the question you will ask yourself is: how can we use them? What are they for?
The purpose of the Prestige Keys is to unlock the Legacy Prestige icons, which can be purchased in the Prestige Shop. These icons are the symbols of Prestige levels from previous Call of Duty games, and we will be able to add them when we reach a new Prestige.
But there is bad news: the Prestige Shop is currently unavailable. The store will open its doors on December 10, on the occasion of the launch of Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War, and at that point the game will also add new Prestige levels to reach.
For the moment, therefore, we can not help but give you an appointment at the launch of Season 1, to see closely all the features of the Prestige Keys.
