As in almost all MMORPGs, crafting items for your enjoyment can be vital to optimal progress in the adventure. In V Rising the same thing happens but there are some ingredients that can be difficult to obtain or, at least, not very accessible due to lack of specific information.
In this guide we are going to show you how to get leather in V Rising and where to farm to get animal skin, one of the most coveted items in the game. Although the second is quite simple to obtain, you may not know how to make leather, but you will see that it is very easy .

The animal skins in V Rising obviously come from animals. To get them you have to finish the tutorial first since at the beginning of the game there are none of them, they are all skeletal beings and other night owls. The animal skin appears in the title when entering Farbane Woods , regardless of the entry we choose. Any animal is likely to drop this ingredient and it is not difficult to get a good stack in minutes.
In later maps the same thing happens, everything that suggests to be an animal, it is likely that animal skin of that enemy can be farmed. However, the quickest and easiest thing will always be to try to get hold of them in the initial zone due to their speed of obtaining at any level.
How to Create V Rising Leather
To create leather it is necessary to meet three requirements. The first is to reach level 20 as a minimum, if it is more, the better. The second is to activate Keely the Ice Archer’s hunt and defeat her. You can see in the attached image its location although it resides very close to the entrance to Farbane Woods. The third thing is to create a tannery.
Keely the Ice Archer has a strength level of level 20 , so similar feats are required to take her down. Her hunting mission will reward us with a recipe to create the tannery, the tool to create leather in V Rising. Upon defeating her, you will have to return to the castle and build said workshop, but not before obtaining the 8 wooden boards and 160 animal skins that she requires for her creation. While that may seem like a lot of skins, by now you should have enough. Once you’ve crafted it, it’s time to create leathers.
Crafting a unit of leather requires sixteen animal hides, a bit of an insane amount for how useful it will be in later recipes.
