Monster Hunter Rise isn’t just about hunting monsters; You’ll also have to search for gear from time to time, especially if you want to create the best gear the game has to offer. Some of these materials are rarer and a little harder to find, but we are here to help. Here’s how to get butterfly beetles in Monster Hunter Rise .
Get butterflies in Monster Hunter Rise
If you want to create armor pieces from the Aelucanth set, you will need some butterfly beetles. Unfortunately, from what we can judge, it doesn’t appear that Butterfly Beetles are available for easy farming at any of the levels currently in the game.
Instead of feeding in the usual way, you will need to use Argosy’s trade request feature.
After completing your first 1-star missions for Kamura Village, Buddy Plaza will open and Argosy will begin accepting trade requests. Head to Buddy Plaza and talk to the NPC next to the ship, and you can send a friend on an Argosy Expedition to bring in resources.
Keep in mind that you must have additional friends on hand, so be sure to hire some Boy Scouts. We have a recruiting guide to help you if you are not yet familiar with this feature.
Talk to Argosy’s NPC, then select the butterfly beetle from the available resource options. Once you’ve sent your friend on an expedition, you can call him back after completing a few missions to collect your reward.
