How To Fix Win11 error code 0x80888002

Some users have encountered error 0x80888002 during the installation of Windows 11, what is going on? If you bypassed the installation check during Windows 11, then this is why you are encountering this error when updating Windows. This is a new update to the Insider build, where Microsoft is actively blocking any bypass tools and maximizing installation requirements. This is why you are getting 0x80888002 error when trying to update to the latest version of Windows 11 on the Insider channel. There are detailed repair tutorials below, friends who need to take a look!

Win11 error code 0x80888002 fix solution:

You can fix this error when updating Windows 11 with a custom script that helps you bypass these checks. This new community-developed script uses a different workaround to help you bypass Windows 11 requirements on your system. Using this script will help you fix this error and install the latest Insider version for Win11 (v22509) on your PC.

If you cannot enter the above webpage, you can also click here to download MediaCreationTool.bat:

  • Visit the link above and you’ll be taken to the script’s Github page. Now click on “Code” in the upper right corner and select “Download ZIP”.
  • A .zip file will now download to your local storage, just unzip the file contents into a convenient folder.
  • After unzipping, open the folder, double click and open “bypass11”.
  • Note: We’re assuming you’re already running the last Win11 Insider build, as you’re getting this 0x80888002 error when trying to bypass requirements during the latest feature update, as new checks have bypassed them before. However, if you haven’t signed up for an Insider channel, you’ll first need the “OfflineInsiderEnroll” tool to get you started.
  • Now double click and start the script “Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update.cmd”.
  • Confirm your selection to pass UAC.
  • When the PowerShell window starts, press a key on your keyboard and you’ll be prompted to do the same. When you run the script for the first time, the disclaimer at the top should be green.
  • These changes will now be automatically applied to your PC. You can now upgrade your system as expected and your system will no longer have the 0x80888002 error.
  • We recommend that you revert the changes made by this script after updating your system. To revert the changes, double-click “Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update.cmd” again. This time the disclaimer should be red at the top. Changes made to the system can be reverted by simply pressing a key on the keyboard.

The script will automatically shut down once the necessary changes are reverted to your system.

That’s it! You can now continue to use your PC as expected without any issues.
