Finally, Nier Replicant is available on all platforms. And the game seems to be working quite well so far. It received some negative reviews immediately after launch. But the situation seems better now.
There is no doubt that it is one of the most anticipated titles of 2021. But that does not take away from the fact that Nier Replicant still has some bugs and bugs that Square Enix needs to fix. I was personally getting this error, and trust me, it’s really frustrating. I was trying all kinds of methods to fix it. Things I tried:
- Switched between window and full screen
- Reinstalled the game
- Changed refresh rate to 60hz (I’m using a 144hz monitor)
- Installed the Windows Media Feature Pack
- Windows Defender disabled
- Steam input off
- Disabled Discord / Steam overlays
Unfortunately, nothing happened. To my surprise, the solution that really worked is really fun. I have never seen such a strange solution before this. The solution was suggested by Steam user / Yosh:
Solution for me: change your name to English characters only. I don’t know why it worked, but it worked with LMAO.
