How to see favorites on Android

If you want to see favorites on Android , going to act on all those that are the most common browsers on the mobile platform of the “green robot”, the instructions to which you must follow are as follows.

Finding Favorites on Android: Chrome

Chrome is the default browser of many Android terminals, so it seems only right to start with it. If you use it to browse online from your device and want to find out how to find favorites on Android in this case, the first steps you need to take are to start the Chrome app , press the ⋮ key located at the top right of the toolbar of the browser and select the item Favorites from the menu that appears.

At this point, you should be in front of the screen that contains the bookmarks you have saved in Chrome. You can then select the folders and / or favorites of your interest to visit the related Web pages. To search among them, instead, press the icon with the magnifying glass located at the top and use the bar that appears to type the title or address of the favorite site you want to find. Easy, right?

Even though you’ve turned on bookmark sync on your other devices, can’t find the bookmarks you’ve saved in Chrome from your PC? Don’t panic, probably in the browser settings on Android there is some option disabled that prevents you from viewing bookmarks saved elsewhere. To remedy the problem, tap the ⋮ button in Chrome for Android and select the Settings item from the menu that appears.

In the screen that opens, make sure that there is your name at the top, tap on the Synchronization item and turn ON the switch next to the Synchronize all item (if you want to synchronize all Chrome settings with other devices, including the bookmarks) or put the check mark only next to the item Favorites (if you want to synchronize only the bookmarks).

If you do not find your name in the Chrome settings, but the option to login , it means that the browser is not yet associated with your Google account . Press, therefore, on the item in question and log in with your data (the same you use for Chrome on your other devices). Once logged in, activate the synchronization of your favorites as explained above. If any steps are not clear to you and / or you want some more information on how to synchronize Chrome bookmarks , consult the tutorial I dedicated to the topic.

Finally, I would like to point out that another way to quickly find bookmarks saved in Chrome is to type their title or address in the browser’s address bar : the favorites will appear in the browser’s suggestions list.

Find favorites on Android: Firefox

Have you decided to use Firefox as the default browser on your Android terminal? No problem. In fact, accessing and finding your favorites is easier than ever in the Mozilla home browser. In this case, first of all start the Firefox app on your device, then you have to press the ⋮ button located at the bottom right of the screen that opens and select the item Bookmarks from the menu that is shown.

Mission accomplished! You have just arrived in the Firefox bookmarks management screen, in which there are the bookmarks you have saved from your smartphone or tablet, plus a folder, called Desktop PC bookmarks , which contains the bookmarks added to Firefox from your computer. To access the bookmarks of your interest, tap on the relevant folders and / or on the names and that’s it. You can also do a direct search, by tapping on the magnifying glass icon at the top and typing the search terms in the text field that appears.

If you do not see the folder related to bookmarks saved from PC or it is empty and if you have enabled synchronization on your computer, make sure you have activated the Firefox Sync service on mobile as well and that the option related to bookmarks is active. So, press the ⋮ button in Firefox, select the Settings item from the menu that appears, press on your email address and, if it isn’t there yet, put the check mark next to Bookmarks .

If you do not see your email address in the Firefox settings menu, it means that you have not yet activated Firefox Sync on Android and therefore you must log in to the service (using the same credentials used on your PC) by pressing the appropriate item. If any steps are not clear to you, you can read my general guide on how to sync Favorites .

In addition to, as I have already explained to you, I inform you that you can also search your bookmarks directly from the browser address bar : once you have typed the title or address of a favorite site, in fact, this will appear among the Firefox suggestions marked by star icon .

Find your favorites on Android: Edge

The browser you usually use to browse online from mobile is Edge and, therefore, are you interested in finding out how to find favorites on Android in this case? I’ll tell you immediately how to proceed. What you first need to do is start the Edge app , press the (…) button at the bottom center and select the Favorites item from the menu that opens.

On the next screen you will find the list of your favorites saved on the mobile device, in the folder called Mobile device favorites , together with those synchronized with the other devices connected to the same account. To visit certain favorites, select their folder and / or name from the list. You can also perform a direct search by tapping the magnifying glass icon in the top right and typing keywords in the text field .

By accessing the Edge Favorites list, didn’t you find the bookmarks you had saved elsewhere? You probably haven’t turned on sync on your device. To remedy the problem, first check that you have enabled the option from the computer, then on Edge on Android press the (…) button at the bottom center and choose the Settings item from the proposed menu. Subsequently, tap your name located at the top, on the Synchronize item and turn ON the switch next to the Synchronize item (if you want to synchronize everything) or only at the heading Favorites (if you want to synchronize only the favorites).

If you do not see your name in the Edge settings menu, it means that you have not yet activated synchronization on Android and therefore you must log in to your Microsoft account (using the same credentials used on your computer) by tapping on the appropriate item .

In addition to, as I have already indicated, you can also search for your favorites from the Edge address bar : by typing in it the title or address of a favorite site, this will be shown among the navigator’s suggestions marked by a star symbol.
