How to do a charge attack on Scarlet Nexus
Before you can perform a charge attack, you will need to unlock it in the Develop section of the brain map skill tree by spending the brain points you earn as you level up.
Yuito and Kasane can perform charge attacks, and the exact same thing is done for both characters. Just press and hold Y on Xbox or Triangle on PlayStation until your weapon flashes, then release the button to perform a charge attack.
Yuito slashes with a katana and Kasane throws flying knives, but the two protagonists of Scarlet Nexus use the charge attack in the same way. His charge attacks slash enemies around him within a small radius, so movement is best used when enemies are close by on all sides.
Charge attacks can also be improved by unlocking more charge-related skills in the Brain Map skill tree. Upgrades allow the attack to land more hits, deal more damage, and damage enemies in a wider radius. This is a good skill for both protagonists, especially Yuito, as his playstyle involves more melee combat than Kasane.
This is also a useful move to know, as some side missions will specifically ask you to take out others using charge attacks. If you don’t have the power, you can’t get the rewards from the side quests.
