How to create an artistic QR code with AI images

A couple of days ago we were talking about the new artistic QR codes that have begun to appear and that are truly wonderful. Its main claim is that it is a QR code that appears fused with an image generated by Artificial Intelligence, which results in a QR code that, in addition to being functional, is quite attractive.

Although the tool I was telling you about earlier in the week is not yet available online, I just discovered a similar app that does the exact same thing. It’s called Quick QR Art , it’s free and the truth is that it can generate truly spectacular QR codes. Let’s see how it works.

How to create an artistic QR code with an AI-generated image

The first thing we have to say is that Quick QR Art is a very recent application, and therefore it is still in beta phase. To use it we must enter a Discord server and launch a command. It is not complicated, but we must follow certain guidelines.

  • Go to the Quick QR Artwebsite and create the QR code with the URL you want to use. If you already have your own QR code you can go to the next step.
  • Save the QR you just created in PNG format.
  • Then click on the “ Join Beta Now” button to enter the application’s Discord server. Accept the invitation to access.
  • Next, enter the “ paste-bin” channel that you will see in the menu on the left and upload the QR code that you have just created by clicking on the “+” icon in the central text box.
  • Once the QR is published, click on it to view it, right click on the image and copy the URL of the image.
  • Now enter the channel “ pixelml-bot-1” and type the command “ /generate ”. Then in the “ prompt ” field write the description of the image you want to generate, and in the “ URL ” field paste the address of the QR code image you posted a moment ago.
  • After a while, the Quick QR Art bot will post the artistic QR code we requested in the Discord chat.

As you can see the mechanics are quite simple. In any case, if you want to experiment with the application, you can also use any of the available parameters or variables by leaving a space after the prompt:

  • QR Weight (–qrw):This parameter determines how “clear” or faithful the resulting QR code is with respect to the original. If you can’t read the QR code, increase this value above 0.8 to a maximum of 2.0.
  • Balance Steps (–steps):This parameter determines the number of times the image is sampled during the generation process.
  • Seed (–seed):This is a random number between 0 and 4,294,967,295. If we use the same number in different prompts, the AI will produce a similar final result.
  • Presets (–presets):You can use some of the preset styles to achieve different creative results. You can find the list of available presets HERE .
  • Negative (–no):If you don’t want any element to appear in the image, specify it using this parameter. For example, “–no elephants” so that no elephants appear in the image.

During the time that I have been testing the application, the GPU of the server has been saturated and there has been a “crash”, but it has been something specific. The rest of the time, the truth is that the application has worked quite well and with response times of less than a minute, which is great.

It is clear that if the application is very successful and there are many active users on Discord, the response times will be higher, and they may even have to enable some payment option to cover the maintenance costs, but at least for now it works out more recommended.
