How to change your iPhone’s Instagram icon

On October 6, Instagram celebrated its tenth birthday and for the occasion invites its users to change the app icon through a particular procedure.

In this article I’ll show you how to change the icon for instagram on your iPhone through a few simple steps.

The icons you can choose from are both the “ historical ” ones of the app and the exclusive ones and never revealed to date, including the “ CODENAME ” pre-launch icon used before 6 October 2010.

But just talk and let’s see how to change the instagram icon.

Steps to change instagram icon

First, open your instagram app and go to your profile (last icon at the bottom right) then click on the three lines at the top right and finally click on Settings.

Now you will have to top down the menu over and over again until a confetti explosion animation appears on the screen .

At this point you can choose and select the prettiest icon among those proposed and keep it active for the whole month of October.

You will be able to have instagram configured for the entire month of October with the new icon for both the app and all notifications.

In addition to the nice possibility offered to users to change the icon for iPhone, instagram has announced that from 6 October more features will be available.

First of all, the Reels functionality , available from today 6 October 2020 , will appear directly on the app’s main screen.

The ” Story Map ” will then be released, through which users can relive the best stories published in the last three years.

Shopping features will also be improved and a timeline will soon be available that traces the key moments of the Instagram story.
