One of the best parts of any RPG is being able to customize your character to your liking, be it through gear, play style, or appearance. Outriders allows you to customize all three. Here’s how to change your appearance after creating a character in Outriders.
How to change your appearance in the Outriders
When you start the game, the first thing you need to do is create your own character. The only permanent decision here is choosing your gender, so choose wisely. All other visual customization options can be changed after you’ve completed the game’s prologue.
You will know that the prologue is over once you reach a camp that is essentially a base of operations where you are allowed to roam free. In the camp you will find the possibility to join friends, buy new equipment and change your appearance in Outriders.
You will have to go to the lower level of the camp to find what you are looking for. Here’s the exact location, at the bottom left of the map:
It should look like a giant shed. Once you’re close, your minimap should display an icon that looks like a pair of scissors. It’s near a yellow hammock in the middle of the shed, so this is where you want to go.
Once there, you will be asked to change your appearance. You can change your skin color, eye color, hair color, etc. As stated above, the only thing you cannot change here is your gender.
It’s also worth noting that your class choice in the prologue is permanent as well. To choose a different genre or try a new class, you will need to start the game from the beginning.
Just one important note : there is no Transmog system in Outriders . So don’t go through these menus hoping to select an armor that you want to wear for your character.
