How to Activate Two-Factor Authentication in Fortnite

If you are a fan of Fortnite, you surely know the importance of keeping your account safe. Sometimes, it is not enough to put a difficult password as a protection method. Authentication prevents potential intrusions into your account that your password can’t stop. Here we will explain how to activate two-factor authentication in Fortnite.

Process to Activate Two-Factor Authentication in Fortnite

  1. Go to your Fortnite account profile from the official Epic Gamespage .
  2. On the toolbar, click where your name appears and then click on “Account”.
  3. Once this is done, go to the bottom of the page. Among the options you will see one titled “Account Information”. At the end of the description, a link appears indicating “ Two-Factor Authentication”. You can mark on this option and configure what is asked of you.
  4. Another way to do it is through the “Password and security” section. You will get this in the menu on the left of the page. Pressing it will display other options, among which is: “Two-step authentication”.
  5. In either of the two ways you will have to choose the authentication path. You have the possibility to choose between email or text message.
  6. You will receive a codeto whatever medium you select. This must be entered in the window on your profile page provided for that and press “Continue”.
  7. Another window will appear indicating that the process has been carried out correctly. In addition, it notifies you that sending codes will be a security method from now on. Check “Done” to accept.

In this way, you will have activated two-factor authentication in Fortnite quickly and easily. Any login attempts to your account that appear to be fraudulent will require this code to be approved . They will also ask you if it takes more than 30 days to access your account.
